Citronprovning och destilleri 1-timmes guidad tur i Naxos

An exceptional experience; Sofia showed us around the KITRON garden, then we had the pleasure of sharing local products, all homemade. Each product was paired with one of the liqueurs produced by the PROMPONAS family. We were able to taste cheeses, marmalades, jams, and even a local nougat. As for alcohol, to each their own preference; everyone will find something they like.

We went as a 3 with our 10 year old and Sofia was brilliant - if you have children she was brilliant in engaging them into the experience. The tour was very informative and light hearted and the food and pairing was excellent. I have done lots of tours of vineyards and port houses and this was right up there. Yamas!

Absolute must for Naxos visit

There is a good reason this tour is so highly reviewed - it is incredible. Sofia is a delight and I had so much fun - a definite highlight of my trip. There were only 3 of us on the tour so it felt very intimate. We got a little history of the place, shown the groves and the distillery, and I even got to bottle some citron. I did the wine and citron tour and there were so many drinks, and a lot of food - which I didn't expect. It was an absolute joy to spend time at Promponas distillery. We stayed for a long time after the tour and tasting was over, just to soak in the atmosphere and nibble on some treats - and we were bought more drinks! I went to the shop by the harbour later that evening to purchase some of the delicious drinks we sampled, and was given yet more drinks. Cannot recommend highly enough!

This experience was awesome. The family ran distillery was very hospitable and kind to share their history with us. We had experienced a tequila tour in Cabo a few years ago but this tour was unbelievable in comparison. I would recommend everyone to visit even if you do not drink.

Educational we didn’t know the difference between Citron and lemons. The farming and making was fascinating. The host was engaging and so much fun! I would go again!!

Our family of 10 (from ages 20 to 57) had a private citron tasting with Sofia, and the whole group agreed it was absolutely our #1 favorite thing we did on Naxos. It wasn't just a party (although it certainly was a party haha) but we also learned so much about their business and the history of their family operation and the various amazing products... the entire event was a delight!! Plan to have a designated driver, because Sofia is not stingy with the pours. Book now, I promise you will not regret it. This is the best!

Our tour was the 1.5 hour tour with Sofia. We loved everything about it! The wine was delicious, the food was amazing, the citron was strong and Sofia was a fantastic host and guide. We learned so much and just had such an enjoyable time. This was one of our favorite activities in Greece! Thank you, Sofia!

I don’t drink, just tasted the variety they served but still had an amazing time! Learned a lot in a fun way and Sophia was outstanding as our family guide. Really fun!

Fantastic experience! Sofia is so knowledgable and entertaining. She makes the tour and tasting really enjoyable and fun. All the spirits and wines are excellent and there's a plentiful supply of local cheeses and other delicacies to accompany each one. We've been on lots of wine tastings and whisky tastings but this was far and away the best organised and most enjoyable. The distillery is a bit of a walk out of town and the pavements are hit and miss in Naxos so I'd recommend booking a taxi (Sofia was very happy to arrange one for us). Don't miss it!
