Luta dig tillbaka och koppla av ombord på en helikopter över Ōtautahi Christchurch, Nya Zeelands nyaste stad – en plats där motståndskraft möter förnyelse. Flera år efter jordbävningarna frodas Christchurch som en levande stad som fortfarande hedrar sina Garden City-rötter. Från ovan, se Hagley Park, Botaniska trädgården och Deans Bush / Pūtaringamotu-gröna juveler i stadens hjärta. Nedan blandas djärva nya stadsdelar med restaurerade kulturbyggnader. Titta på körbanor, centrala barer, Margaret Mahy Playground och det ikoniska rådhuset. Den kulturella kärnan pulserar av liv – här finns Hovteatern, Pianot och Isaac Theatre Royal. Te Kaha, den nya One New Zealand Stadium, glimmar – framtidens hem för konserter, världsklassrugby och Crusader segrar. I öster förvandlar flodkorridoren Ōtākaro Avon den röda zonen till en urban fristad. Bortom, flyg över Port Hills till Banks Peninsula: Diamond Harbour, Lyttelton Port, Sumner och Pegasus Bay – där natur, kultur, dåtid och framtid förenas.

Efter en säkerhetsgenomgång, avgå från vår helikopterbas på Christchurch International Airport med helikopter för att se Otautahi, Christchurch från luften.
En flygfoto över de många grönområdena i Ōtautahi, Christchurch. Såsom: Dean Bush, The Red Zone och Hagley Park. Inom Hagley Park ligger Christchurch Botanical Gardens. En 21 hektar stor park med mer än 10 olika trädgårdar inramade av mogna träd och vidsträckta gräsmattor, som mestadels finns i en slinga av floden Avon.
Christchurch Cathedral är centrum för Cathedral Square i hjärtat av Otautahi, Christchurch. Denna plats för anglikansk tillbedjan, som skadades svårt i jordbävningen 2011. Se ner på reparationsarbetet som görs för att återställa detta stadslandmärke.
Titta ner på den röda zonen i Christchurch, en gång fylld med hem före jordbävningarna och nu ett holistiskt projekt för att koppla samman människor, flod och land, nu känt som projektet Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor
Titta ner på Lyttelton Harbor / Whakaraupō, en av två stora vikar på Banks Peninsula. En hamn bildad av en gammal vulkan som har översvämmats av havet. En livlig hamn för staden Christchurch.

Se Quail Island från luften. Canterburys största ö i diamanthamnen
Se Port Hills, en rad kullar i Canterbury, namngivna för att de ligger mellan staden Christchurch och hamnen vid Lyttelton. De är en eroderad rest av vulkanen Lyttelton.
Awaroa/Godley Head. Magnifika militära kustförsvarsplatser byggda under andra världskriget.
Sumner Beach är en kustnära förort som är en populär plats för surfing och bad och havsfiske
Från Waimairi till Southshore är stränderna i New Brighton bara en av Pegasus Bays många. New Brighton-piren är den längsta i Australasien, en ikon för Canterbury-regionen.

I had an amazing experience with Christchurch Scenic Helicopter Tour. From start to finish, everything was smooth and well-organised. The staff were friendly, professional, and made me feel comfortable and excited before take-off. The helicopter ride itself was absolutely breathtaking—seeing Christchurch, the coastline, and the surrounding landscapes from above was unreal. The pilot was knowledgeable and shared interesting information during the flight, which made the experience even more special. I highly recommend this Scenic helicopter tour. Definitely a bucket-list experience and worth every moment!
Fantastic experience that takes you over the city of Christchurch and into the hillside then along the coast for a Birdseye view of a landscape. We did the Christchurch city scenic tour and this 20 minute long flight was very enjoyable for everyone on board. The pilot gave us some information while in the air and there was tons of photo ops! Definitely a unique way to see the city!
I booked this for my son and his gf/partner. They absolutely loved it and couldn’t stop talking about how lovely everyone was and what a great afternoon it was.
Im shocking with names BUT the front of house lady was AWESOME during my beautiful Olivias flight. Allowing us to follow her on a birthday flight over Christchurch on her screen tracking the path. Big recommendation for this business was a total fun experience for Olivia buzzing about her flight and us on the ground.
The pilot was good and informative. But we thought we would have the helicopter to ourselves, instead we had another person who had the best window and we couldn't do much filming as she was up and down with her camera throughout the entire flight in the largest window. Would have thought we would have had the ride to ourselves for the price.
Really great flight. We had some weather issues and great communication from GCH at all points, and they were able to find a slot when the weather cleared. Very professional operation, a great pilot who gave interesting and detailed commentary and we had beautiful views in the gorgeous late afternoon light. Very highly recommended.

We had a great time! Jake was not only a wonderful pilot, but a fabulous “tour guide” as well. He shared lots of information regarding Christchurch and the surrounding area. It was a fabulous first helicopter ride… would definitely do it again!
Disappointed with what we saw and flight time. Basically circled the city to the beach then back to the airport. Not much to see that you couldn’t do for cheaper in the gondola.

It is a city constantly evolving, giving visitors something new to explore. On board your helicopter, your pilot Chris enjoyed meeting you and your family from Texas, whilst you took in views of the newest city in New Zealand. Seeing the lush greenery of the “Garden City” from Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens to Deans Bush/ Pūtaringamotu, home to native bush forest featuring kahikatea trees that are up to 600 years old. The central city from above is a mixture of new urban precincts and old historic buildings that have been restored after the earthquakes. You will had a great day to view the Christchurch Cathedral as it is rebuilt. Looking down on the red zone of Christchurch, which was once filled with homes prior to the earthquakes and now a holistic project to connect people, river and land, now known as the Ōtākaro Traveling over the Port Hills into Banks Peninsula to see the splendour of the extinct volcanoes, making up Akaroa and Diamond Harbours. A coastline view north of Pegasus Bay as you travel over Sumner and New Brighton Beaches towards the stunning Southern Alps and farmed Canterbury Plains.
Absolutely amazing ride and lovely pilot. We even got offers a chance to go on a tour which made the day more special. Would recommend to all.
