När vi har hämtat dig från din valda plats runt 07:00, förflyttar vi dig till TranzAlpinen för en av världens mest natursköna tågresor. Njut av hisnande alpin utsikt från panoramafönster eller utomhusvagnen. Din Guide möter dig på Arthur's Pass Station för att påbörja din bergstur.
Medan du njuter av tågresan reser din Guide i förväg för att möta dig direkt på plattformen vid Arthur’s Pass Station. Därifrån kommer vi att köra till Otira Viadukten för spektakulära vyer – inklusive de levande röda Rata blommorna under sommaren. Håll utkik efter den fräcka Kea, Nya Zeelands nyfikna alppapegoja! Vår bergsutforskning fortsätter med ett besök på det fantastiska Avalanche Creek Waterfall och flera andra natursköna höjdpunkter inom nationalparken.
För höjdpunkten av din eftermiddag, rekommenderar vi starkt Devils Punchbowl promenadspår. En lugn 1 - timmars återvandring leder dig genom frodig bokskog till basen av ett dånande 131 - meter vattenfall. Vattnets kraft och dimman i ansiktet gör detta till en oförglömlig alpin upplevelse
Efter din promenad kan du njuta av välförtjänt stilleståndstid i den charmiga byn Arthur’s Pass. Du har gott om tid att njuta av lunch på ett lokalt café, bläddra i det historiska besökscentret eller helt enkelt njuta av den fridfulla bergsatmosfären innan vi fortsätter vår resa
Vår återresa till Christchurch tar en annan väg, med landskap som tågspåren inte når. Vårt första stopp är den fridfulla Lake Pearson. Den här höglänta sjön är känd för sina glasartade, spegellika speglingar av de omgivande bergen – en fotografs dröm och en perfekt plats för en lugn eftermiddagssemester.
Stanna till vid Flock Hill: Upptäck den fantastiska inspelningsplatsen "Narnia". Denna plats var med i Disneys Lejonet, Häxan och Garderoben som det primära slagfältet – en spektakulär miljö omgiven av Craigieburn Valleys karga skönhet.
Vår sista höjdpunkt: Upplev ”skatten på avstånd” på Kura Tāwhiti. För Ngāi Tahu iwi har detta område Tōpuni-status – en symbolisk täckmantel av skydd över dess heliga värden. När du går den lättillgängliga stigen, leta efter spår av 500 år gamla kolteckningar och lär dig hur dessa stenar bildades för 30 miljoner år sedan när Nya Zeeland fortfarande låg under ett grunt innanhav.
Vi lämnar bergen bakom oss och färdas över Canterbury Plains. Vi gör ett sista, utsökt stopp i den lantliga staden Springfield för att se den berömda jättemunken – ett måste-foto landmärke! Därifrån är det en avkopplande sista etapp tillbaka till staden, där vi tar farväl och släpper av dig på din valda plats.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, whose name I didn’t get, did a wonderful job taking us around Arthur’s Pass and Castle Hill and providing information on the area. The bus was delayed picking up the group in Arthur’s Pass after the train ride, but the company did a great job with keeping the group updated as to when our guide would arrive. The hike up to the Devil’s Punchbowl Falls was worth it, and the loop at Castle Hill was great as well. I would recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience. The train trip was fabulous to see the southern alps up close. Exploring Arthur’s Pass was just devine and Castle Hill is exceptional.

It was a fabulous experience. The train was gorgeous and the views were unbeatable. Plus, the staff was incredibly kind. The driver was great with fun facts and lots of yummy snacks. Anuj was our tour guide and he was absolutely brilliant. Very informative and knowledgeable, made the whole experience very smooth and enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this tour. I cant recommend it enough for the solo traveller. The other participants were lovely, the guide was fabulous, and the scenery was mind blowing. The many stops to take photographs and go for good walks were just the right amount.

We had a fantastic day. It was a great way to see the country side as well as explore the forest and see the waterfalls at Arthur's Pass. VJ was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable. We started the day by taking the Alpine Train to Arthur's pass. Then VJ took us to beautiful scenic spot and showed us where filming took place for the Lion the witch and the wardrobe. He also shared NZ snacks with us. It was a wonderful way to spend a day in Christchurch.

I did enjoy our tour from Christchurch via TranzAlpine to Arthurs’ path and back to the city. Our tour guide are accommodating and providing good insights and explanation. He provides guidance or alternative activity for some who cant do a hike. We did a couple of small stops for scenic lookout when we are going back to the City. The tour was not rush and we are able to be back to the city earlier than expected Highly recommended tour!
