Ge dig ut på en oförglömlig tur till den sanna spetsen av den afrikanska kontinenten där de två haven officiellt möts. Upptäck en liten avelskoloni av afrikanska pingviner i förväg och smaka även på Sydafrikas prisbelönta viner med svalt klimat i vinregionen Hemel n Arder. Utforska en otämjd mährisk stad från 1820-talet som heter Elim och njut av många fotomöjligheter när vi korsar den extrema sydkusten av landet på denna turné. Även om det är en lång bilresa är Cape Agulhas-turnén mycket mer en autentisk upplevelse med en mindre turistisk känsla för dem som letar efter en sådan nischmarknad. Användningen av ett bekvämt privat fordon garanteras också.

Betty's Bay är en kuststad en timme öster om Kapstaden. Det var en valfångststation i slutet av 1800-talet. Senare blev den mer känd för sin ovanliga invånare: den afrikanska pingvinen! Pingvinerna slog sig ner på Stoney Point-stranden på 1900-talet. Detta gjorde att Stoney pekade på en av två pingvinkolonier på fastlandet. Gästerna kommer att ha lite tid att gå längs pingvinstranden och se pingvinerna på nära håll.
Det skulle vara en orättvisa att köra genom en av de bästa vinregionerna i landet och inte stanna. Hemel n Aarde (vinregionen ligger både nära havet och på en högre höjd än Cape Winelands. Detta är det perfekta klimatet för druvsorten med kallt klimat. Det betyder viner som är subtila, skarp syra, en lättare kropp, och ljusa fruktsmaker. Dalen kan producera några av de bästa pinot noirs och Chardonnay-vinerna i landet. Din vinprovningsupplevelse på Hamilton Russell kommer inte att göra dig besviken.
Efter vinprovningsupplevelsen fortsätter turen mot Hermanus. En pittoresk kuststad som också är Sydafrikas huvudstad för valskådning. Valar kan ses här från valleden längs stränderna mellan juni och november varje år. Hermanus är också känt för att vara en av Sydafrikas gastronomistäder och du kommer att kunna äta lunch här innan turen fortsätter sydost mot Elim.
Från Cape Agulhas tar vår resa oss genom en pittoresk by som heter Elim. Elim grundades 1824 av tyska nybyggare. Det var den 3:e Mähriska stationen nära Kapstaden och mycket lite har förändrats under åren. Rader av vitkalkade stugor med halmtak kantar gatorna i denna charmiga by. Och alla fikonkantade gator leder till kyrkan! Gästerna kommer att ha tid att gå runt och besöka stadens lilla rosenträdgård.
3 timmar sydost om Kapstaden City ligger den sydligaste spetsen av den afrikanska kontinenten: Cape Agulhas. Det är här som den varma Indiska oceanen kolliderar med den isiga Atlanten. Den karga kusten är värd för över 21 000 våtmarker och sjöfåglar av olika slag. Havets Serengeti, som har fått sitt namn på grund av sitt mångsidiga marina liv, är också en del av Kapens blomsterrike. Världens rikaste blomsterrike! Cirka 2000 olika växtarter finns i detta område och över 100 är endemiska. Medan vi är här kommer du att ha gott om tid att utforska kustslätterna. Du kan också besöka Kap Agulhas fyr; den näst äldsta i Sydafrika. En promenad upp till toppen av fyren ger en med fågelperspektiv över staden och museet längst ner.

This is a great tour exploring the cape outside of Cape Town. It is a long tour, but our guide, Danson, tailored the day to our liking. We were able to skip places that were not of interest to us and enjoy more time at other places. Danson is very knowledgeable about the entire area and made the long drives feel much shorter with his informative description of each place and its history. If you have time, I’d highly recommend this tour and Danson as your guide. He really made experience very enjoyable.

The trip to Cqpe Agulhas was PERFECT. Well curated with adequate time to have lunch, spend time to see penguins, walk along the beach, climb the lighthouse. Our guide Peter was AMAZING! knowledgeable about not just the tour but also Cape town and South Africa as a whole. He was engaging but not overwhelming. Even with my teenage children. Very professional. My interaction with Pauline was very professional, she answered all my questions and enquiries. I would highly recommend this tour with this company.
