Great tour with Manu and Martin. They made sure that both sides of the boat had good viewing and photo options for the caves. Good boat and felt safe at all times. We had a brief stop for a swim which some people enjoyed. If you are interested, plan accordingly.
André the captain and Daniel the guide were very attentive! They made the effort to give us explanations in French even though they spoke it very little. It was truly wonderful Thank you
The caption and the crew are really great people, are always explaining what each part of the boat tour is, including fun facts about the history of some caves. Overall, a great experience, that without it, it wouldn’t have been the same.
Absolutely recommended 1-1.5 hour trip. Adventurous yet comfortable. Very well guided, the RIB boat goes inside caves and the experience is trully memorable.
Most will sit in a saddled position (banana-boat style), but there are a couple rows in the back that are benches so that was much easier/comfortable for our older grandparents who came on the tour as well. The ride is very scenic, the caves up close are magical, and the commentary from Dominic and Andre is very helpful to add context. Must-do when in Portimao area!
The views were spectacular. The guides were wonderful. The price was right. I went straight to the operator. I emailed a few questions and they responded quickly. The biggest plus was it was right next to the dock that the Norwegian Dawn tendered to. It was easy to get there and easy to find the leader. I'd recommend this to anyone. Bring a towel because you have the option to swim and also because the seats needed little more cushioning.
The location to pick up was right outside of the cruise ship tender drop off in Portiamo. Excellent job from both of our tour guides. Trip was postponed an hour but I was sent a notification letting me know. This gave us an hour to explore the city first. Safe excursion and we had a chance to jump in an swim as well.
The caves are very beautiful and well worth seeing. Be sure to wear sunscreen and any hat will not likely stay on. The straddle seats are a bit uncomfortable so try to get a bench seat. But the pilot and guide were great and I would recommend.
We had a great boat trip. The guides were very informative, and my two teenagers had a great time. We really enjoyed seeing all of the caves. Really a nice day!
