I booked this tour several months in advance but the start time was changed from 11:30 to 13:30 without offering any alternative. As we were on a tight schedule I accepted. This threw our other plans for the day into disarray. On arriving 30 minutes before the scheduled time we waited about 40 minutes before actually entering the Church. With temperatures in the high 30s it was a long time. I enquired about appropriate dress code and was advised shorts were not acceptable however I noticed many people wearing very short skirts, shorts and uncovered shoulders. Why give this advice if it is not enforced on very hot days? On a positive note our guide, Vitaly was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the time change and long wait in the heat meant I did not get to do other things I had planned to do on that day.
