Börja din dagstur i Aswan genom att bli upphämtad från ditt hotell eller kryssningsfartyg och köra till High Dam of Aswan, ett tekniskt mirakel byggt på 1960-talet. Från toppen av High Dam kan du blicka över Nassersjön till Kalabsha-templet i söder och den enorma kraftstationen i norr.
Fortsätt till den oavslutade obelisken i Aswans granitbrott, där mycket av den röda graniten som användes för antika tempel och kolosser kom ifrån. Den oavslutade obelisken ligger fortfarande där den ristades när en spricka upptäcktes när den huggs ur berget. Din kvalificerade egyptologguide kommer att förklara hur obelisken på 1 ton ristades och varför sprickan gjorde att den övergavs.
Den sista av de 3 berömda platserna i Aswan du kommer att se anses allmänt vara den bästa. Philae-templet flyttades försiktigt till sin nuvarande plats (cirka 500 meter från den ursprungliga platsen) när byggandet av High Dam fick det omgivande Nilens vatten att stiga. En kort tur med motorbåt tar dig till ön, där din guide tar dig med på en vandringstur genom templet innan du får ledig tid att utforska vidare på egen hand. Tillägnad gudinnan Isis, har Philae Temple en vacker miljö på en ö i floden som har anlagts för att matcha sin ursprungliga plats.

We did one last tour while staying in Aswan and this one was great. My husband was becoming ill from the heat on previous tours and Big Mac did everything to keep him cool and in the shade and also navigated us away from the huge bus loads of tourists that can be a problem. He was kind and funny and informative. Highly recommended!

I had a fantastic experience exploring Aswan's most iconic sights in just one day. The High Dam was impressive and learning about its construction was fascinating. The speed boat ride on the Nile to Philae temple was great and the temple was amazing.
