What a fun way to spend an evening with friends in Salzburg! The cooking class was fun and the instructor was wonderful! It was a 2 hour long activity, and then we got to sit down as a group with the other participants and eat a wonderful soup that they had prepared and also ate the pretzels and strudel that we had made. To make the evening complete, a talented young woman entertained us with her soprano operatic performance while we ate our dinner! Highly recommend this for all ages, we went with a group of friends, but families would love this as well. It was held at the Edelweiss cooking school in an amazing room in a cavern at the base of a mountain. The two young women that hosted us tonight were absolutely fantastic!!

The whole experience was great. From the apple strudel to the pretzels, as well as the dinner and the music. Highly recommend.

We had a group of 6. The experience was excellent. We loved the cooking of Apple Strudel and Pretzels. We enjoyed the flavorful Goulash that was served with the pretzels we made. The entertainment was super. Her voice was engaging. This by far an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

This is a great hands-on experience. You do not have to be a good or experienced cook, or even like cooking. It is a great interactive event that you can enjoy with your travel partner, as well as make new friends at the event. The instructions are clear, concise, and well organized. You are never totally on your own, and the food is excellent.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening cooking class at Edelweiss Cooking school. From the very beginning, our hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Details of the evening were clearly explained to us: we were allocated a table where we prepared our strudel and Prezel: offered a wine or juice and then watched the demonstration by the host. After cooking, we were served a hearty beef broth with our cooked prezel and strudel for dessert. We were also entertained by one of the staff who sang beautiful operatic songs and 2 songs from Sound of Music. What a fun night of entertainment - a definite highlight for our visit to Salzburg. We would thoroughly recommend this event to other travellers.

The event was well organized. The instructions were clear. It was an enjoyable experience. The music and dinner were especially good.

This is NOT just a cooking class! Yes you will make a strudel and a pretzel, and you may feel a sense of guilt for waiting so long to explore your horizons. But even if you are master baker. you will find value in the experience. The class is intimate in size, ours was 6 couples ranging in age from late 30's to mid 70's. While your strudel and pretzel are baking you will be served a family style dinner with options of wine or beer for nominal fee. The venue is very interesting. The atmosphere at dinner was quiet enough to support conversation without being awkward. Most of the patrons were American (including us) but kudos to the two ladies from Scotland who were a joy to meet. We had a wonderful time. Come hungry :)
