Templen på den UNESCO-listade Angkor Archaeological Park har nästan tusen års historia, så en guidad tur är ett bra sätt att lära sig så mycket som möjligt om templens konst och arkitektur. Efter att ha hämtat dig från ditt hotell tar vi oss till Angkor Park och beger oss till Angkor Wat där vi kommer att se det stora templet först. Vi åker sedan till Angkor Thom där vi går över till Bayon där du kommer att se de 200 plus leende ansiktena titta ner på dig från tornen ovanför. Bayon är det näst populäraste templet efter Angkor Wat.
Vi kommer sedan att utforska Baphuon, Phimeanakas, elefanternas terrass och Leper King-terrassen. Vi avslutar morgonen med snabba besök i de mindre templen Preah Palilay, Preah Pithu Group och Prasat Suor Prat.
Vi hittar något att äta på en lokal restaurang eller matstånd i Angkor Park innan vi fortsätter vår turné på eftermiddagen. Notera mat och dryck till lunch på egen räkning.
Efter lunch besöker vi templen Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda, Spean Thma och Ta Keo. Vi besöker sedan Tomb Raider-templet (Ta Prohm) som gjordes berömt genom att användas som bakgrund i den populära Lara Croft-filmen. Vi avslutar turen med ett besök på Banteay Kdei.

Thy was a fun guide around Beng Mealea and Kampong Phluk. He is quick to laugh and good to chat with. His driving and his English are excellent and it was nice to hear a little about his life growing up. I wish I had also toured Angkor Wat with him as our guide - hopefully another time! The tour was great. Our driver was also our guide. He knows well about the history of Khmer, and he speaks well english. At each temple, we were stopping at points of interests to have interesting informations about the Khmer civilization, things that you would not get without a guide. The driver gives you cold bottles of water when you need it. He also gives you the good spots for pictures and is a quite passionate photographer when you ask for it.

It's a great tour. I enjoyed the ruins without worrying about being kind! They will guide you best for foreigners. The car was safe to drive, very slow.
