Was on a cruise ship and had to find a cab that would take us to where we could pick up the tour. It was very DARK and the tour took us to a very historic park where there were no lights. The guide nice young woman seemed to be training the horse and more involved with that then providing details on Victoria. The downtown area would have been a better choice. For anyone taking this tour and it is dark outside stay away from Beacon Hill and just hear the history and ask to cover the city itself! Actually cut the tour short when we neared the cruise ships by approx 25 mins!

Grace was fun but there really wasn’t enough room for 6 people They did provide blankets and the horse was beautiful.

What a lovely weekend. Our driver/guide, Claira, was really knowledgeable and engaging. She was enthusiastic and young, and obviously loves her job and Victoria. What a joy! The ride was comfortable, informative and absolutely stunningly beautiful. So happy we did it at sunset. There was a nice big cozy blanket to keep us warm.

We docked in Victoria at 8 o'clock. There were taxis ready to take us downtown to our carriage ride. It is possible to walk but we were only in Victoria until 11:30. We went to the green umbrella they told us to find on the corner. The guide was excellent. She took us through the different neighborhoods in Victoria and told us about the history and current challenges. I highly recommend this but bring an extra jacket as it gets colder as the night goes on.

carriage only holds 4 people. Not 6 after 10 days of eating on a cruise ship. Toured the area around downtown and 2 parks. Guide was knowledgeable.

We did this tour on July 4, 2026, with Hannah and her lovely horse Blaze. The charming Hannah offered the option of a quiet or narrated tour; we chose the latter, as two of the four of us had never been to Victoria before and were interested in learning about its culture and history. As the weather that day was perfectly beautiful, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip past Victorian homes, through Beacon Hill Park, and to a vantage point with spectacular ocean views. Highly recommend!

We booked the 75-Minute Royal Tour with Victoria Carriage Tours during our visit to Victoria, and it was one of the highlights of our cruise. Unfortunately, we accidentally booked our tour for the wrong day. We were concerned we'd missed our opportunity, but the team at Victoria Carriage Tours went above and beyond to accommodate our family. They were incredibly understanding, found a way to fit us into a tour that day, and did so without any additional charges. That level of customer service is rare and was greatly appreciated. Even though it was raining, the tour was fantastic. Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and full of interesting facts about Victoria's history, landmarks, and the beautiful neighborhoods we traveled through. The pace was perfect, and the entire experience was both relaxing and informative. Thank you to the entire Victoria Carriage Tours team for turning what could have been a stressful situation into a wonderful family experience!
