All stuff were so nice, friendly and helpful. So enjoyable trip, just a bit expensive in my opinion for 3 hours only.
The guides were incredible and were all so friendly and were great at answering questions they new all the good spots for whales I would love to come again with the crew of Richard Taylor Janae amber and Rhiannon
The guides were incredible they were so knowledgeable, answered all of our questions with such enthusiasm. I recommend this to anyone coming here it's such a fun time and the crew made sure we all enjoyed it. Our crew was Richard, Taylor, Janae, Amber and Rhiannon and they were all so lovely. We saw humpbacks and orcas.
Excellent experience, seeing humpbacks, orcas and sea lions. Enthusiastic guides in Rhiannon, Janae and Amber who were knowledgeable and helpful. Free tea and coffee and photos to boot. Thank you.

This August our family vacation to Victoria started with a half-day (4 or so hours) whale watching expedition aboard a catamaran operaated by the Prince of Whales. Our entire family were excited for this adventure. Even though we have regular exposure to Ontario's lakes nothing could prepare us for the sights that we took on on this tour. Our guides were over the top! Amber, Sam and Reid made our 63 nautical mile excursion one to remember. They are brilliant story tellers, who find interesting ways to answer questions drawing upon a wealth of first hand knowledge. They captured excellent photo's along the way and shared them with everyone on board. Seeing a family of Orcas, a small island of seals, an eagle and other wildlife taught me a lot about the importance of understanding and respecting the habitats of all the animals that share the land and the sea. This tour was a highlight for my kids who continue to speak to some of the things they learned on the trip. We took the morning trip and enjoyed a perfect day but remember, you will be on open water so bring layers of clothing, a good camera and they will provide your kids with hot chocolate. Having bathrooms on the catamaran was a pleasant feature that any vacationer might want to consider. Overall, this was brilliant, not at all cheap, but money well spent.

Wonderful trip whale watching with the team from Prince of Whales. The 3 guides shared lots of knowledge with us and took photos of everything we saw so we didn’t need to! We saw loads of Orca whales including mother and baby. We also saw a humpback, sealions and seals. It was a wonderful morning and would highly recommend!

We found booking the tour was really easy and the company provided plenty of pre information to explain what you needed to bring on the trip and what to expect. The boat was large with lots of outdoor and indoor seating as well as two toilets. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly.They provided a detailed safety information to ensure that everyone had a safe trip. Tamsin was so passionate about her subject and provided great commentary as we headed out to sea. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We saw two humpbacks feeding and were delighted to experience this magical moment. I would definitely book with The Prince of Whales again.

My mother and I first took the Prince of Whalea toue back in May, 2017 when she was visiting from Australia. Though we saw lits of birds, seals and Sea Lions we did not see any whales. She came back to visit me this August 2026, and we saw two Orca whales within the first 30-40 minutes of the tour and a second pod called T49s which had 5-6 Orca whales including a little baby!! Magic!! The crew are so knowledgable and friendly. We are so grateful that we could try again with our past tickets for a small booking fee to see whales 9 years later :)

What an experience from Prince of Whales! We saw a pod of 15 Orcas plus two. Special shoutout to Andre - he’s clearly passionate about his work. The way he shared his knowledge about the Orcas, their behavior, and the names of the different pods made the trip so educational and memorable.
