Vår resa började på TripAdvisor med Latvia Tours på Tripadvisor av Latvian Gem där vi blev ett av de första företagen i Lettland att erbjuda både transporter och turer, företagsevenemang, aktiviteter för internationella besökare. Hill of Crosses - en webbplats med hundratusentals kors som representerar tron på människor i hela världen. Plats som en gång besöktes av påven Johannes Paulus II välkomnar resenärer med sina berättelser! Det är en enkel och smidig tur till Hill som tar ca 1h 55min åt vardera hållet. Det kommer att finnas utskrifter att läsa på vägen. Dessutom finns det en virtuell rundtur på Hill (fungerar online på telefonen)! På vägen tillbaka har du chansen att stanna till vid gränsen för ett foto och köra genom staden Jelgava där du ser det största barockpalatset n Baltikum! Turen kommer att fungera om det finns minst 3 personer bokade för den dagen.

Efter 2 timmars bilresa. Du har 1 timmes ledig tid att utforska Korskullen innan du återvänder till Riga. Det kommer att finnas en virtuell guide tillgänglig (fungerar bara med WiFi) + informativa utskrifter kommer att tillhandahållas. På Hill är du välkommen att lämna ett kors också! Det är möjligt att köpa dem på plats eller så kan du ta med dig en.
Kör genom den fjärde största staden i Lettland - Jelgava. Även om de flesta byggnader är från sovjettiden (staden bombades hårt under kriget och har byggts upp under sovjettiden), så finns det några spektakulära byggnader från det ryska imperiet också! Utskrifter med info kommer att tillhandahållas.

You will spend more time driving rountrip than at the site, but it was still worth the trip to me. Very unique and interesting historical site.
Not reputable My tour was canceled by the provider one day in advance. Despite multiple reminders, no refund has been issued yet.
We are unable to match this review to any booking and cannot verify the situation described. Review is made from a new profile that has only 1 review. We have checked all cancellations for this tour. In every known case, the guests were contacted personally by us and a solution was agreed upon, such as an alternative date or another suitable option. We are not aware of any case in which this tour was cancelled without prior communication. We also cannot find any record of the messages that were allegedly sent to us several times. For bookings made through third-party partners, the payment is managed by the booking platform, not by us. We receive €0.00 for a cancelled booking and can only see the status “cancelled/refunded” in our system. We cannot see or control whether and when the booking partner actually transfers the refund to the customer’s account. If this relates to a genuine booking, we ask the reviewer to provide their name and booking reference. We will then be able to investigate the matter properly and, if necessary, contact the relevant booking platform directly. Without these details, we are unable to verify this review.
It was a great day. Krista made us so comfortable and is a well of information. Just amazing day!
Nice small group tour with minibus. The guide Richard, who was also a driver, was knowledgeable and provided information during the trip. Free water bottle for every traveler. The cross hill was an amazing experience with over 2 million crosses. Lunch was not possible, but on the other hand the tour ended in Riga already at 3 pm. Coffee break was included on the trip.
If anyone from the USA is a bit nervous about scheduling an excursion in a place like Latvia where you’ve never been, fret no more!!! Latvia Gems is your ticket, because their people are absolutely fantastic. Krista Jansone was my direct contact. She was fabulous in providing me all the details and always being there for me when I had questions. You can trust her and everything she says, because she comes through. Then Krista set us up with our Guide Edgars. He made us feel so comfortable…he’s a good driver with a great personality with a goal of pleasing his customers. I can’t say enough platitudes about our trip and hope that you consider Latvia Gems in your future plans.
Amazing short trip with Janis from Riga to Hill of Crosses and then to the airport. Weather was cool and sunny, managed to get some nice photos. He shared with us many interesting tidbits about Latvia and Lithuania.

We had a wonder guide, Jãnis, who ensured that we had a very fun and interesting trip. He gave us some good local knowledge, and history, on the places that we passed by and visited. The trip was very flexible .. we made two optional stops on the way to the Hill of Crosses which was well worthwhile. The Hill of Crosses itself was incredible, so glad we went. Experiencing it is so much better than looking at photos. We were also very fortunate in that it was snowing which gave it a more stunning appearance and atmosphere All in all a fantastic trip .. would definitely recommend.
Viestrus, our guide, was fabulous! His knowledge and kindness were perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing day seeing new sights and exploring a new area.
