Masai Mara National Reserve är en av de mest populära turistmålen i Kenya-Afrika. Reservatet ligger i Great Rift Valley i främst öppet grässlätt. Vilda djur tenderar att vara mest koncentrerade på reservens västra skott. Masai Mara betraktas som juvelen i Kenyas visningsområden för djurliv. Den årliga migrationen av gnuer omfattar ensam över 1,5 miljoner djur som anländer i juli och avgår i november. Det har funnits cirka 95 arter av däggdjur, amfibier och reptiler och över 400 fåglarter registreras på reservatet. Ingenstans i Afrika finns djurlivet mer omfattande, och det är av den anledningen en besökare knappt missar att se de stora fem (buffel, elefant, leopard, lejon och noshörning).

I travelled with Bush-thorn Adventures for a five days and four nights trip covering Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru National Park, Naivasha (Hell's Gate, Lake Naivasha and Cresent Island) and Aberdare National Park led by Ole (Gitau) and Joseph as our trip aficionados. The trip was very well planned and executed and both guides went above and beyond to accommodate our needs to ensure that the trip lived up to our expectations. It came down to little things such as prioritising which animals we chased through the Mara to seeking out specific foods for lunch breaks on the road. The attention to detail and communication was very professional and friendly throughout the trip. We paid for an inclusive trip and they not only delivered but went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Bush-thorn Adventures for anyone looking for a hassle free trip and looking to make memories of a life time.
Beware the traffic and bumpy roads in Nairobi, but these guides and drivers make it such a pleasure to travel. In the short time I had I was able to see all the animals. Everything that exists in Kenya we saw! Lions, Zebras, Giraffes ( beautiful,graceful giraffes, ) Buffaloes, wild beast, impalas, gazelle and all the rest of the family. I wanted to see hippopotamuses, we saw plenty. Thank you so very much, it was wonderful and I can’t wait to come back for more!
