I took kiteboarding lessons at Pro KiteCabarete in Cabarete, DR, and had the best experience; they truly made my time kiting in Cabarete unforgettable. My instructor, Damian, was knowledgeable, supportive, and had a unique way of explaining everything, which allowed me to gain the skills and confidence to start riding in just a few days. Damian breaks everything down step by step, building up to each new skill. Pro Kite offers lessons with a radio, so you’re able to hear your instructor while riding, which is incredibly helpful! I also appreciated the shore supervision provided by Lisa. She was fun, knowledgeable, and kept a watchful eye on me while I practiced becoming an independent rider after my lessons. Lisa was there to help recover my board if needed, assist with the kite to and from the water, and she even gave me some advice throughout my practice. Damion is a smart well seasoned instructor. He has a simple setup in his shop that simulates handling the kite. This helped me understand the principles before getting to the next stage, and he also helped me identify my mistakes early on which allowed me more time with the Kite and less down time. Finally, I would like to mention how important his waterproof Walkie Talkie in helping me recover once the kite is down.

I started my lessons with a competitor and decided to switch over to ProKite. What a huge difference it made. I learned more in two hours than 6 at the other place. Damian is talented instructor and clearly has a passion for the sport, which makes it all the more fun to learn from him. You can't beat the level of service you will get from here.

Intensive kite training that in 10 days makes me completely autonomous!!! Thank you Damien for your professionalism, patience and sympathy. I was in Cabarete with a friend (I am an intermediate kitesurfer and my friend had not touched a kite before Cabarete) for Cristmas holiday and fortunately we had the opportunity to meet Damien of pro kite Cabarete. He knows perfectly the spot and weather/sea conditions and with his experience and teaching methods he gave my friend all theoretical and practical knowledge for starting kitesurfing in safety. I also decided to take some lessons and with just some hours Damien was able to clearly identify my mistakes/weaknesses and to rectify it as well. P.S: we rent also some of his kitesurf equipmet - very good price/top quality

Damian an amazing person and the teams all new, we had a great time. I already knew how to sail and took supervision (which was very helpful) and my boyfriend was his first time and took classes with Damian. Very enjoyable kitesurf lesson. I took the discovery course, which was perfect to learn the basics about controlling the kite. The instructor, Damien, is super friendly and a superb teacher.
