Fredsväggarna var avsedda för att skilja de katolska (republikaner) och protestantiska (lojalistiska) befolkningarna. De första "fredslinjerna" uppfördes, efter krigets utbrott, även känt som 1969 "The Troubles". De byggdes som tillfälliga strukturer, menade att de varade bara sex månader. På grund av sin effektiva natur byggdes de högre, längre och gjorda permanenta. Idag är väggarna prydda med konst och budskap från hopp från turister.
Besök den berömda Falls Road födelseplatsen för Provisional IRA bildades. Varje del av denna väg och dess politiska väggmålning kommer att förklaras i detalj och orsakerna till den. Nästa stopp är Sinn Fein presskontor, som är platsen för den mest kända väggmålningen i världen Bobby Sands väggmålning. Very interesting tour. It put a good perspective on the Troubles. Our guide Ricky did a great job of explaining the perspectives of both sides impartially. Highly recommend the tour and Ricky as a guide
They did not have our reservation and the company was a no show. We are done using Trip Advisor.
Very informative two hours. Enjoyable experience
Sean was excellent. He brought us to the area/street where my husband’s grandfather was born and showed us the church where the family worshipped as well. His remarks were comprehensive and sobering. Definitely would recommend this tour.

This was such an eye-opening and educational experience. We are both consumers of current affairs and consider ourselves well-read, but we had no idea about the existence of so many miles of “peace” walls in the Belfast neighborhoods. Kevin was well informed and compelling. We have continued to talk about our tour with him throughout our time in N Ireland, and I imagine we will once we return home.

Stephen took us on a 2 hour trip back into the 60's through the 90's in Central Belfast. Unbelievable story brought to life through the wall, the gates, the murals and his stories and photographs. Do not miss this opportunity to learn about The Troubles. Thanks to Stephen we have a much better understanding of the background and the details of this horrible struggle for Northern Ireland.
