This is an amazing tour. Louis-Vigor was an excellent guide. He knew so much about Normandy. He provided information that made D-Day come alive and personal. He handled it with grace and deep respect. This is a tour you can’t miss!
An extraordinary and exceptional cultural moment driven by the passion and professionalism of our guide Louis Vigor Simply thank you for this Norman trip See you soon for a new visit in the Normandy region The Sarthoise Team Philip, Stef, Alex, Virg
Our guide, Louis, was a local and very knowledgeable, and patient with our questions. He spoke English well and brought a book of pictures to accompany the tour, including some of what the sites looked like at the time of the invasion. We toured the area around the 1st Infantry Monument on Omaha Beach where there are ruins of fortifications, as well as the beautiful American cemetery. Walked about one mile total with some steep but short trail sections. Recommend.
Louis is so kind, knowledgeable, and generous. He is a great listener and answered all over our questions with incredible detail. You can tell he loves his work and is passionate about these events. The tour gave me new insight and I will be forever in awe of what happened here and the men who gave their lives- not only in the United States, but from those around the world. I have a newfound appreciation for the Norman people- who still live with the effects of war almost 100 years later. Such gratitude for the memories they keep alive for so many who gave their own lives. All of this came alive for me through Louis, his storytelling and knowledge, but also the traditions he holds close to his heart to remember. Absolutely would recommend to anyone going to Normandy! Thank you, Louis!
It was our first day in Normandy and such a good choice to start this trip. Good intelligible English, pleasant person, focused on us. The guide has told the history based on what we saw on the spot and through photos.
Exciting visit to Omaha beach and the American cemetery with Louis, a passionate guide. We loved discovering these important places of the Second World War 🇫🇷🇺🇸. Through anecdotes and portraits of illustrious soldiers, the 2h10 visit passed very quickly. It looked like it! And with the sun, we were very lucky. I highly recommend 🫶
