Maria was a wonderful guide! I learned so much about both food and Viennese history. I enjoyed this tour a lot and would recommend!

It is an excellent tour, it gives an exceptional experience of Austrian cousin. There is a lot to eat and even more to learn about the country and people. Maria, the tour guide, is very generously sharing her knowledge and experience. It is an outstanding introduction to Viennese and Austrian food culture.

Maria was fantastic. We criss crossed the city to expose us to fantastic food that locals would love. Using the Vienna transit system, (and showing us how to get around in the process) we went to an imperial cafe, a market stand, and a wonderful restaurant and a small diner for dessert. Her humor and stories kept us informed about Vienna and Austria, as well as entertained. We would highly recommend this if you are visiting Vienna, and enjoy food.

We met as a group of about 16 people at 9:00 am. Seemed like a reasonable size, but to our surprise, four guides showed up. We were split into groups of four, and off we went with our individual guide, each group heading in a different direction. What a difference that made! It was more like going out on the town with some friends - we got to know each other during the course of the day. Our guide was very personable and bubbly, and spoke English well enough to tell us about the foods and some interesting stories of the city. We had a terrific time - no doubt one of the highlights of our tour to Austria. We saw markets that would never show up on a tourist brochure, plus hit a few famous spots. But there are three things to keep in mind: your guides are typically just everyday folks who love their city and enjoy showing off the culture and food. They may try their best to toss in a bit of history here and there, but that's not what this is about. The second thing is you will hop on multiple subways and trams to get to different parts of the city, so when you buy a transportation ticket, be sure and get the 24-hour pass (transportation is not included in the tour price). The guide will help you with the ticket machine and explain how everything works. Lastly, there is a TON of food on this tour. You are not given "samples", you are given what amounts to entire servings at each stop. By the last stop, we were not able to eat any of the offerings (various sausages), and felt miserable for about a day afterward. So I highly recommend that you share with someone, and eat sparingly throughout the day, even though it may feel wasteful or rude to leave food on your plate.

Wolfgang has put together an excellent experience. You can tell he is proud of his city and it shows during the tour. Best taken early in your stay. He takes you to districts you would not normally think about visiting. A day well spent. Please do not eat before the tour.

Absolutely outstanding experience with Maria (and Tomas). We loved every second. Maria was knowledgeable and passionate about showing us how special Vienna is. We loved getting to do things that were out of the typical tourist area and tasting the best each stop had to offer. Highly recommend this tour to those who love food, enjoy trying new things and want to learn more about Vienna.

Maria is fabulous and the food was very good with accommodation for vegetarian and non-pork or beef eaters. I felt much more confident navigating the uLines as a first time user. This was an ideal experience for me. Thank you, Maria.

Our guide Maria sourced Viennese food made with love, passion, and decades of tradition by those who make it and serve it. Maria was able to speak to the history of the city and its dining culture. This tour made our time in Vienna truly special and memorable. It’s a must if you love food with tradition behind it!

Wonderful tour with Maria. Super friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Great food and opportunity to visit lots of different areas of the city. You get a real sense of Vienna from a local’s perspective.

This was the BEST food tour I have ever been on! Maria picked the best places. We went all over Vienna. If it was not for Maria, I would have never found any of these places! The sausage stand in the sixteenth district, Tichy and Praterwirt were my absolute favorite places we stopped! Everywhere in between was just as good and really showed you all of Vienna. I highly recommend this tour and if you get Maria it’s an even better tour for you!
