We had a great time walking and taking public transportation on our private tour with Cristoph. Our son has a nut allergy which was not an issue at any of the stops. We ate enough food to skip dinner in the evening. Christoph was a wealth of information. Thank you for a wonderful tour.
We had a private 5 hour food tour with Christoph and our expectations were way beyond exceeded! He took us to a traditional Viennese coffee house and explained the coffee culture of the city. As Americans who tend to drink huge cups of coffee quite quickly, it was so relaxing to savor one cup of coffee and a piece of kardinalschnitte while not looking at our phones. Then the fun began because Christoph took us on the U-Bahn to a bakery only known by locals for the most delicious doughnut ever. Another train & then tram trip and we were at an open air food market watching locals buys their produce, then stopping at a Biergarten for amazing pork schnitzel and potato salad. Last stop was our favorite - street food. We are foodies & hands down this was the BEST pork belly we have ever had. What we loved as much as the food was the opportunity to experience different neighborhoods of Vienna and become comfortable with their public transportation system so that we could use it on our own. Fantastic tour!!
Maria was an excellent and very interesting guide She brought us to a wide variety of places in the city some quite off the tourist map. Wonderful and diverse food . Lots of interesting information both historical and social The pace was just right. Highly recommended
This was a fantastic way to be introduced to the city of Vienna and its food culture. Suitable for families, couples or solo travellers and I would definitely recommend doing this near the beginning of a trip to Vienna as it helped us navigate the city and its culinary delights so much better for the next few days. Make sure you bring a big appetite as there was always something more to try than we could fit in! Too many amazing dishes to mention and the quality was fabulous. Thank you Christoph we had a really excellent time!
Patrick was a very interactive, knowledgeable, and interesting tour guide. He guided us around the city, herded us easily on the metro, and shared delicious food. We decided Thomas’ street food was our favorite goulash of our whole 2 week trip. There was so much food we couldn’t eat dinner later.
Top order. Delicious typical Viennese things eaten. Magdalena our guide did it perfectly
Amazing food!! Having a small group of people made it more personalized and friendly. The guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating to our needs.
We’ve done food tours all over the world, and this was easily the most authentic one we’ve done. You can tell that it’s being run by people who care about the city and your experience with connecting the real local gems. 10/10!
With authentic local food this is an easy way to get to know Vienna. Our guide Maria was an excellent host, her knowledge of history and culture made it a pleasure to spend the day eating our way around the districts of Vienna. This is a must do guided tour.
If you can only do one tour while in Vienna, do this one. Our tour guide, Maria, had us traveling to many of the city districts, blending in like locals as we traversed by foot, subway and tram to sample many of the city’s food gems. The food was amazing-From the coffeehouse pastries in the morning to the authentic schnitzel we ended with, and all the other delights in between. Maria was fantastic, knowledgeable and so kind. The highlight of the trip had to be our time spent with Thomas, a street food vendor with delicious foods and a quick wit. Hat’s off to Maria, who made our day in Vienna one we will never forget!
