O pátio da “Pigna”, criado a partir da área do século 16 do “Belvedere”
A Esfera dentro de uma Esfera" por Arnaldo Pomodoro nos Museus do Vaticano é uma obra-prima escultoral impressionante que graça o Cortile della Pigna. Esta obra de arte cativante apresenta uma grande esfera de bronze com uma superfície texturada e fraturada, revelando uma esfera menor dentro. A interação de luz e sombra nos padrões complexos acrescenta a sua fascinação fascinante. Simbolizando temas de complexidade e profundidade interior, a escultura de Pomodoro nos Museus Vaticanos é testemunha da convergência de arte, espiritualidade e significado profundo no coração de uma das instituições culturais mais renomadas do mundo.
A Capela Sistina leva seu nome do Papa Sixtus IV della Rovere (pontife de 1471 a 1484) que teve a antiga Cappella Magna restaurada entre 1477 e 1480. É conhecida em todo o mundo tanto por ser o lugar onde o conclave e outras cerimônias oficiais do Papa são realizadas (no passado também algumas coroações papais), e por ser decorada com uma das obras de arte mais famosas e celebradas da civilização artística os frescos de Michelangelo.
A maior basílica do mundo também é o lar de obras-primas mundiais como a famosa Pietà de Michelangelo! até mesmo abriga uma cripta subterrânea para os Papas, que pode ser visitado (não disponível na manhã de quarta-feira devido à audiência papal) A Basílica tem uma grande influência de Michelangelo e você pode ver suas obras de arte ao longo. A Basílica foi originalmente construída acima da tumba do Príncipe dos Apóstolos, onde o Papa visita todos os dias de Natal ou Páscoa.

Our tour guide Anna Maria was very personable and knowledgeable. She met us at the exact time we were supposed to meet and greeted us warmly. While in the Vatican and St. Peter’s she shared a wealth of information and tailored it to our group. We would highly recommend this tour and Anna Maria!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience. Our family of six, ranging in age from 10 to 75, was genuinely excited to visit one of the holiest places in Christianity. Instead, we left deeply disappointed. Before we had even entered the Vatican, our guide commented that “Catholics aren’t humble people.” Throughout the tour, he repeatedly inserted his personal opinions about the Catholic Church, compared St. Peter’s Basilica to what Mecca represents for Muslims, and focused on criticizing various popes rather than presenting the history in a balanced and respectful way. At one point, while discussing religious artwork, he remarked that he would be “on the hell list” but refused to explain why. We booked this tour to learn about the history, art, architecture, and spiritual significance of the Vatican, not to hear a guide’s personal views on Catholicism. Regardless of anyone’s personal beliefs, visitors should expect an objective and respectful presentation, especially at one of the world’s most sacred religious sites. The experience was so disappointing that our family returned to the Vatican the following day on our own simply to reflect, pray, and experience the reverence and spiritual greatness we had hoped to find during the tour. The Vatican is an extraordinary place. It deserved a guide who would let its history, faith, and significance speak for themselves.

We had a private tour of the Vatican and it was excellent. Starting at 7:30am was perfectly timed, allowing us to avoid long lines and large crowds. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided fascinating historical insights throughout the tour. She navigated us efficiently through the Vatican while ensuring we had ample time to appreciate its incredible art and architecture. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable and well-organized experience.

Vanessa was absolutely phenomenal! Her knowledge of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica was impressive, but what truly made the experience exceptional was her ability to bring the history, art, and stories to life in a way that kept everyone engaged. She was organized, personable, and incredibly attentive to our group throughout the tour. Having transportation arranged with pickup and drop-off made the entire experience seamless and stress-free. It kept our group together, eliminated the logistics of navigating Rome on our own, and allowed us to focus entirely on enjoying the day. The only way to see the Vatican - have someone make the arrangements and navigate the crowds for you. Raquel was amazing, knew exactly where to go, what line to be in, best spot to stand for great views. She is a wealth of information and gave us a thorough overview of the history of the Vatican, Pope’s, and the art treasures within the walls. She made sure we knew all things about the Sistine Chapel before we went in so we would understand what we were looking at, some stories, answered all our questions. This made the visit so much better than going alone. Raquel took us through St Peter’s and again explained what we were looking at. She then let us stay as long as we wanted to visit the church and square on our own. You can buy additional ticket to go up to cupola- 500 stairs - and you can also visit the crypt under St Peter’s on your own. We had a fabulous day, and wouldn’t dream of doing a tour of such significance without Raquel!
