Localizada nas montanhas Aladağ, a apenas 5 milhas de Éfeso, a Casa da Virgem Maria é um importante local de peregrinação. Segundo a tradição, Maria veio a Éfeso com São João em 37 d.C. e morou lá até sua morte em 48 d.C. O local foi reconhecido como um lugar de peregrinação pelo Arcebispo de Kusadasi em 1892, após a descoberta da casa. Em 26 de julho de 1967, o Papa Paulo VI visitou e orou neste local sagrado, consolidando sua importância para visitantes de todo o mundo.
Localizada na colina de Ayasuluk em Selçuk, a Basílica de São João foi construída no século VI pelo imperador Justiniano sobre o suposto local de sepultura de São João Apóstolo. Uma vez uma grande estrutura cúpula rivalizando com a Hagia Sophia, a basílica foi um importante destino de peregrinação na era bizantina. this was an amazing experience Rengin was great and very informative. She kept in tune with how sites were with lines etc and modified course a bit so we essentially avoided crowds and had plenty time. Lunch was amazing with so much good food. The stop at carpet factory was very informative but they were very high pressure to try and make a sale. over all great tour through a great company. we would use them again to take tour.

Our Tour of the Mother House of Mary and St. John's Basilica with SeaDrop Travel was amazing. It was worth seeing two major religious and historical sites together.
