A Piazza Bra é o centro da vida social de Verona. A praça é dominada pela majestosa Arena e pelo Palazzo Barbieri, a Prefeitura. De lá também é possível ver o Palazzo Gran Guardia e o Museu Lapidario.
Este incrível anfiteatro romano foi construído durante o século I dC. O nome “arena” refere-se à areia que cobria o palco onde os gladiadores lutavam. Até hoje, ainda é utilizado para shows e concertos públicos.
A Praça das Ervas é o antigo fórum romano da cidade. No centro da praça você pode ver a fonte de Madonna Verona, um monumento que representa a cidade como uma bela mulher. Hoje, a praça é um importante ponto de encontro dos cariocas, velhos e jovens.
A Casa de Julieta é parada obrigatória para todos os visitantes da cidade que desejam conhecer o lado romântico de Verona. Datada de finais do século XIII, esta casa-torre exibe em baixo-relevo um chapéu que, segundo a tradição, é o brasão da Família Capuleto. Pararemos no jardim, sem entrar.
Também chamada de Piazza Dante, devido à estátua dedicada ao mais importante poeta italiano, a Piazza dei Signori é emoldurada por vários edifícios importantes, como o Palazzo della Ragione e o Palazzo Podestà. É aqui que você se despedirá do seu guia.

This was a brilliant tour. Alessandro was so knowledgeable and he is clearly passionate about his home city. It really was the perfect way to familiarise us with the Verona. We did the 10.30am tour and were finished by lunchtime. Alessandro was really good at pointing out great places to eat and drink. One to which we returned after the tour and had the best focaccia pizza ever. Would highly recommend this tour. Thanks!
Unfortunately we took an evening tour, (in addition, the tour was postponed 1h from 17.30 to 18.30) and all the cozy and nice places we saw and got tips about were closed when we were done with the tour. Super nice guide that I forgot the name of.

Alessandro is SUPERB--I've been on many guided tours throughout Italy and this may have been the very best. He's deeply knowledgeable, articulate (with easy to understand English), and just solid in every way. Through the entire tour he wove together fascinating history of this city with countless recommendations of restaurants and gelateria. He truly helped us fall in love with Verona. If we were here longer we'd take his food & wine tour for sure.
