What an experience! JB took us on a wonderful tuk tuk food tour through Phnom Penh that we thoroughly enjoyed. The tour covered a wide range of locations, introducing us to some truly exotic local fare. One dish that stood out was Popiah — we loved it so much that we went back to the same spot twice even after the tour had wrapped up, which says it all! What impressed us most was JB's depth of knowledge. He explained every dish in detail — the ingredients, the preparation, the cultural context — making the experience as educational as it was delicious. Travelling with a vegetarian spouse, I particularly appreciated how thoughtfully JB handled dietary requirements. He was careful to ensure that every dish served to us was free of fish oil, which is no small feat in Cambodian cuisine. That level of attentiveness made all the difference. The tuk tuk driver was an absolute delight too — friendly, cheerful, and made the whole ride part of the fun. Overall, this was a brilliant way to explore Phnom Penh's food culture. We had the most incredible experience with Urban Forage on their Phnom Penh street food tour. Our guide was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole evening feel relaxed and immersive from the start. They took us through bustling night markets we would never have had the confidence to explore on our own, sharing insights into the local food culture along the way. One of the highlights was being encouraged to step outside our comfort zone and try local delicacies — including insects! It turned out to be a surprisingly fun (and tasty) part of the night and something we’ll be talking about for years. Every stop felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen, and the whole experience far exceeded our expectations. If you want a genuine taste of Phnom Penh and its food scene, this tour is an absolute must.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was J.B. and he was fun, passionate, and informative. He explained everything about what we were eating (and the correct way to flavor it) We sampled a great variety of foods and finished the night in a secluded tropical garden sipping cocktails. We would recommend this tour to anyone with an adventurous appetite!

Absolutely excellent food tour! We went to a massive variety of places, most of which I never would have been able to find going by myself. The guide, Panha, was excellent, providing a lot of interesting detail on Cambodian food culture and customs, and was very friendly and interesting to talk to in general! Would highly recommend this if you’re looking to get a real, authentic sense of how locals eat.

Great experience to local places that were 'holes in the wall' with great tasting food! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke great english. Tuktuks had unlimited beer. A few tips if I were to do it again: We did this when we first arrived. I would wait a bit for eating street food and let our stomachs catch up to the food. We ate SO much food. I would have rather paced myself and left some food at the beginning so I could eat more food at the end of the tour. If you are trying to do this on a smaller budget, you can do a food tour with a local Tuktuk driver or through Grab. Because of the curation of the restaurants, local food, and support for legitimate long time cooks - I would choose this tour again.

Jackson was the absolute best host to an array of Cambodian foods! He described the cultural significance of each dish and answered all our questions. Highly highly recomend!

Our guide Jackson was lots of fun and we had a few jokes in Australian slang. He was attentive and the tuk tuk drivers were lovely and made sure we were always well hydrated and comfortable. Would highly recommend this tour if you want to try some safe traditional street food. Thanks so much guys!
