The guide was really nice, spoke english well and knew a bunch of grest spots no other guides did. The food was also good, and its only local dishes which is nice. Just a great trek all in all:))
We did the trip just my friend and I, along with our guide, chef and guy to carry the bags with horses. The guide, Cesar, especially was amazing, taking us to the best spots to see the great views on the tour. The chef also made great Peruvian food during the tour. All in all, just a great experience with great people.
This Bamba Travel’s Salkantay Trek was beyond beautiful! I was helped by Guides Junior and Ruth always during the steep clime besides their morale and guidance, it was a wonderful trip. The wavy geography and the nice synchronization of the activities and processes in part made this a dream tour.
It was amazing from the first minute until the last. The food was really good, the guidance as well and we had good beds. Physically, you will be alright if you prepared a bit. The views were crazy, and so was the visit to Machu Picchu. Would 100% recommend!
Thank you for your fantastic review! We're delighted to hear that your experience was amazing from start to finish. It's great to know that you enjoyed the food, guidance, and comfortable beds. Preparing physically always helps, and we're glad you found the trek manageable. The views and the visit to Machu Picchu truly are extraordinary. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to welcoming you on another adventure soon!
Bamba's communication was a complete disaster. They booked us into another hotel without letting us know. Afterwards, unexpected costs continued to come into the trip. Price / quality wise this was absolutely not recommended. The pinnacle was that they booked our entry to Machu Picchu on the wrong day.
We did the Salkantay Trek through Bamba Experience, and what a time we had! First of all we were taken good care of by the employees at Bamba Experience before the trek. Our Guide, Percy, was more than you would expect, he was welcoming, funny, caring and he could answer every question we may have had, not just on our trek towards Machu Picchu but also on the geological site of Machu Picchu he could give us good and detailed answers on our questions. We got to see both the amazing Andees aswell as the fascinating and interesting Machu Picchu. If you are up for a physical challenge and wants to see nature, Peruvian culture and history you should pack your bags and get in touch with Bamba! Amazing experience thanks to Bamba Experience and Percy!
Our trek was amazing!! Our guide, Jr., was the best ever!! He was kind, knowledgeable, and encouraging all the time! The trek was difficult and challenging but Jr. kept us motivated and informed every step of the way. My daughter (22) and I were sightseeing through Peru celebrating her graduation college...our trip ended with this trek and all the incredible things we did and saw on it...we were so lucky to have had this experience! Thank you Bamba for all you provided before, during, and after the trek!!
Amazing trip! Junior was the best guide I had so far. His knowledge, humor and kindness really made this trip. The food made by the chef was delicious. The trek was with a small group so the tour guide junior was able to adjust the trek to our wishes.
Me and my husband was very happy with the trip we did with our amazing guide Percy, the cook Geraldo and the horse care taker Florian. Together they where a wonderful team to have on the hike!
Definitely an adventure! Vidal was our guide and super led our small group of 6 people. He cared about everyone and was very helpful. The trek was very challenging, mainly because of the altitude (headache) and the weather. It rained almost every day and was pretty cold. So I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the month of December. The 2 nights at the camp were not very relaxing but definitely adventurous and everyone is concerned for the well-being of the guests. The hotel for last night in Aguas Calientes was a pleasant change. The food Victoriano and his team provided was great! I was very positively surprised by the variety and quality, as the circumstances do not make it easy for a cook. All in all an unforgettable but also very challenging experience!
