This tour is not represented by Viator accurately. We spent more time in the van (8 hours) with a visit to a tourist cheese factory and a tourist visit to a distillery. As for the food we had 3 tastes of cheese, no other food samplings. Stopped for lunch and had to pay for our own lunch. Who would think you would have pay for your own lunch considering the cost of this Viator trip. No pastry, no wine included. Don’t be fooled be the “food tour”. It wasn’t. The only redeeming part was the pleasant and knowledgeable guide Maureen. I would not recommend this tour to anyone
Hello Donald, Thank you very much for this review. However the tour was done according to the presentation on Viator and since you enjoyed Maureen as your tour guide there is no problem in the tour . Yes lunch is at your own cost it was explained this way in the tour description. This is a food tour not way to eat all day long. The tour is correctly advertised and Food Tours are away too understand and sample some of the local products. Yes the place where you have been are for tourists and since you booked the tours on Viator you were a tourist. Only places open to tourists can be visited. Now concerning the time you spent in the van we have checked and we have monitors in our vans According to the tour guide and our monitors you spent more time in the visits than in the van. We will then ask Viator to review this review and take it out because it is not relevant to the tour. Thank you very much
Wonderful choice of restaurant and distillery. Guide was very informative and genial. We had a perfect weather day for sightseeing and of course Normandy is beautiful any time of the year.

The tour at Mount St. Michel was amazing. Igor provided us with his own personal audio guide for the Abbey. The audio guide was full of history and interesting facts about the Abbey. He was very knowledgeable about the history and pointed out all the unique things to see at the Abbey. We visited in November and there were hardly any crowds. It was a perfect time to go. We were able to take our time seeing the Abbey. The tide was out in the morning when we visited, but the views were still spectacular. Igor took us to an amazing seafood restaurant for lunch. We all tried something different and the food was amazing. After lunch we walked around the town and tried the local macaroons and stopped at a local coffee shop. When he dropped us off at our hotel, he helped us get reservations at a local restaurant for dinner. Igor is very knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for an amazing day.

We really enjoyed our tour with Igor. He was knowledgeable, articulate, and passionate about Norman foods and their backgrounds. We covered several cheeses, including Camembert, cider, Calvados, and pommeau. We visited cheese farms/plants, a cider mill and a calvados distillery. We sampled multiple, high quality products. We drove through beautiful countryside and had an excellent, locally sourced lunch. It is well worth the time as it is an informative and very enjoyable day.
