"De acordo com a tradição, a igreja principal foi construída no lugar onde Miadzin descendeu, Etchmiadzin. Na visão de Gregório, Cristo mostra o lugar do templo principal com um martelo de ouro. A catedral mais antiga do mundo, fundada em 303, foi destinada a se tornar uma importante testemunha e participante na história do povo armênio. Sendo o centro mais importante da rede mundial da Igreja Armênia, a Catedral Etchmiadzin é agora representada por uma grande área, incluindo muitas igrejas antigas e novas, estruturas seculares, bibliotecas, um seminário, etc."
A série de igrejas gloriosas do século VII continua com St. Gayane, que foi fundada apenas 12 anos depois de St. Hripsime. Esta igreja, construída em 630, foi construída sobre a sepultura de uma virgem cristã que morreu na Armênia no final do século III e início do século IV, cerca de 3 séculos após sua morte. A igreja foi restaurada em 1652. Há muitos caixões no quintal, entre eles figuras militares e culturais famosas do povo armênio.
De acordo com especialistas, a arquitetura de Saint Hripsime é considerada um dos melhores exemplos armênios. Aqui, pela primeira vez, nichos armênios que fornecem resistência sísmica foram usados. A construção da enorme igreja foi concluída em 618, deixando um grande legado arquitetônico, cujos detalhes ainda são usados hoje.
Apesar de ser destruído, Zvartnots continua sendo único em termos de seu significado espiritual, cultural e arquitetônico. Esta enorme igreja, com o nome dos anjos, foi construída durante 9 anos e consagrada em 652. O maravilhoso templo com uma altura de 46-49 metros foi destruído, provavelmente como resultado de um terremoto, após o qual tais igrejas não foram mais construídas na Armênia. A aparência real de Zvartnots foi desconhecida por muito tempo até o arquiteto T. Toramanian propôs a verdadeira forma inicial da igreja, que mais tarde foi comprovada por outros fatos históricos.

It was good to have a direct transportation to the sights and to have an explanation there. Unfortunately, our guide was far from being motivated for his job or interacting with the group or making an individual approach. Maybe he doesn't like his job. I guess sharing a taxi and having the attractions looked up online would have been a way, too.

Tatev is a very atmospheric place, opened up to us through fog and thick clouds. The cable car sank in the fog, sometimes showing below the amazing landscape. Yegor, our guide, gave a very lively and detailed account of the history of the place. Then we went to Hndzoresk. An unusual place whose history stopped not so long ago. The journey was completed at a work of art created by nature itself - a majestic waterfall.
