Uma oportunidade única e posterior para se reconectar e se reunir com sua cultura, raízes e linhagem. Você receberá um nome africano tradicional, e desfrutar de uma vida de aldeia, como a fabricação de cerâmica de argila, e em uma representações culturais tradicionais que serão exibidos para recebê-lo na comunidade por. Esta experiência é reservada exclusivamente para descendentes, pois é uma peregrinação sagrada centrada na cura e na reconneção. Não descendentes só podem participar se forem cônjuge ou membro da família negra de um participante. É uma jornada energética que permite testemunhar como os africanos uma vez viveram como reis e rainhas em suas terras natal antes de serem roubados para as prisões da Costa do Cabo e levados para o "Novo Mundo". Aconselhamos que você leve um pouco de dinheiro com você como você pode querer comprar algumas das belas pérolas africanas como presentes para casa, e também um pouco de doação para apoiar e elevar o que eles fazem! Usar branco, como é uma cor de celebração de nova vida ou conformável de sua escolha é bom.

08h00 partida do Accra Hotel / Residence para o Village em um veículo com ar condicionado. Chegaremos por volta das 10 horas. Primeiro faremos uma visita de cortesia aos Chefes e líderes tradicionais da comunidade onde seremos recebidos com batuques e danças e receberemos nomes africanos tradicionais.
Em seguida, dirigiremos até o deslumbrante Lago Volta e desfrutaremos de um almoço fantástico em um restaurante à beira do lago. O Lago Volta é o maior lago artificial da África e o segundo maior do mundo.
Shai hills é a reserva de parques nacionais mais próxima em Accra, onde podemos ver alguns babuínos enquanto dirigimos. Podemos parar para tirar uma foto e aproveitar a oportunidade para continuar nossa viagem de volta a Accra

Loved this tour. Our tour guide and driver were very good. The vehicle was very nice. Water was provided. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, helpful, kind and patient. The naming ceremony was awesome. The village people were so warm and welcoming. A very incredible and memorable experience.

Our tour guide Toufic was amazing. He was knowledgeable about the history of Ghana, the culture, and the community called Torgome. Where our Naming ceremony was held, with the tribe, Ewes located in the Volta Region knew Toufic well. Toufic called ahead to inform the tribe of our arrival time which made the welcome of our presence so exciting. Lastly, Toufic took us to the Volta lake, explaining it was the 2nd largest man made lake which was very beautiful and to enjoy lunch at the amazing Restaurant called Afrikiko, put the cherry on top of everything. Overall, an amazing experience and great atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon and hope our tour guide will again be with Toufic. Happy 50th birthday to ME! Toufic is the best tour guide that Ghana has to offer. Not only does he have an amazing personality but his astute observations help you to better understand the culture. It was the highlight of my trip to have the naming ceremony after visiting Slave River and Elmina Castle. The entire community are so welcoming upon your arrival. Please be prepared to give a gift to the Chief after the ceremony. I didn’t know what give before getting on my flight so I gave some cedis. Lunch was great and the view of Lake Volta was stunning. I’d recommend this to any descendant looking to learn about the traditions of your ancestors. It truly was a highlight for my trip. Request Toufic after you book.

From the moment our guide, Kobe, picked us up, we felt like family. His energy was like we knew each other since birth and he spoke to us from a place of love and protection. He is very knowledgeable about our past and present while remaining hopeful for what the future brings to Ghana. When we arrived in the Volta Region, the children greeted us like little cousins who haven't seen us in so long! The elders embraced us with a true "welcome back home, we miss you" energy. We walked through the village and greeted our neighbors. Walked to the clear river and took in the beauty of the area. Then walked back to dance and laugh and hug our people. The naming ritual was spiritual and authentic to the Region. The names chosen by the elders fit each of us PERFECTLY!!! The blessings received were given in abundance and I am forever grateful for this experience.
