Terra dos Sentidos (Waterfalls, Hike, Thermals, Lunch) por Sensoria

Outstanding experience in the rain forest. Waterfalls, thermal pools, well marked & maintained trails, and very friendly staff and guides. It rains, so come prepared: rain coat or poncho, water shoes, change of clothes for the drive back, and ready to immerse in nature. We saw multiple pit vipers along the trail hanging off trees and the guides we're super knowledable and informative of all the native plant species. The hike has visits to multiple waterfalls and thermal pools. Worth coming in your swim attire to enjoy the natural mineral waters. It all culminates with a relaxing lunch back at the Main House. The only downside of the excursion is the drive up to Sensoria and back out. Although there is a stop in Dos Rios at a local bakery (yummy local pastries) the unpaved road is rutted and rough for a good 60+ mins of the drive. 4-wheel drive highly recommended. Book this thru a guide...only way to access this special spot. Enjoy the nature & Pura Vida.

This was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide great and he spotted a lot of animals for us. The property is so peaceful and the lunch after our tour was simply delicious. They also have super clean showers and changing rooms. It will be definitely added again to our next visit since there is so much to see.

Very beautiful nature walk, friendly tour guides, very knowledgeable with the environment, the animals and nature. Great lunch, clean facilities, not crowded at all. We had the space for ourselves to swim at the waterfalls, beautiful waterfalls and refreshing. A natural/nature spring water pool. We visited from 0900-1530. The scenery on the way was gorgeous with the mountains views. Shout out to Jaauin “modern Moses.” Best for kids above 8yo-teens, young adults and peeps who are able to walk a bit to be able to enjoy the nature.

I cannot describe in words what the place is like. It is an amazingly diverse ecological masterpiece. Every turn on the trail showed us some new incredible plant, insect, snake or animal. The waterfalls are breathtaking and refreshing to swim in. Our guides Gabriel and Joaquin were so informative and took care of our every need. They took the time to explain the plants, insects, birds and animals we saw. They also kept us safe as the Eyelash Vipers were out on the trail edges. You feel the love they have for the job in the way they talk about this incredible forest. The lodge is immaculate and the kitchen staff prepared us a delicious meal afterwards. It was my second time here and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. My families first time there was something they rave about to this day. Make the bumpy drive, stay with a sweet local family near the tour the night before and do not leave Costa Rica without seeing this absolutely stunning place. Thank you to the staff at Sensoria!

An unforgettable experience. Without a doubt, the best combination of hiking and hot springs in an impressive tropical forest. Everything was perfectly organized and the setting is simply spectacular. Our guide, Jorge, made the experience even more special. He has been, without a doubt, the best guide I have had on a tour: approachable, attentive, professional, and with incredible knowledge about nature, wildlife, and everything surrounding the experience. He was always willing to answer questions and to ensure that we enjoyed every moment. I recommend it 100%, and if I have the opportunity, I will definitely do it again. An essential experience in Costa Rica!

We absolutely LOVED this experience!!! Hands down one of our favorite excursions we had in Costa Rica. The waterfall was beautiful and we enjoyed all the pools. Our guide was fantastic and we learned a lot about the rainforest and native animals. Also, lunch was delicious! This was an adventure that we will remember forever. Thank you!

Coming from Riu palace we were assured a perfect experience by Ismaël our sunwing guide. And he told the thruth! We were welcomed at the main buldimg. What a beautiful place. The hike was led by Joaquin a very attentive and knowlegeable human who loves his job and respects the rain forest. Lots of steps but not slippery even when it rained. We got to see and duo at all 5 waterfalls. The last one being the warmest. We would have stayed longer but Hunter got the best of us. Joaquin directed us to the showers of the main building. Everything is spotless and clean. Then we has an amazing meal. I picked rice and chicken served homemade chips and a cabbage salad. My husband had the chicken wrap which was fresh and delectable. We watched a video captured by Motion cameras located in the local Rain Forest where we could see animals such as puma, leopard , taiper, wild board’s etc. Coffee and coconut balls for desert. I know for sure we will be napping on the way back. Thank you for and amazing time. Was well worth the money we spent!

I really enjoy this experience. I would have loved if they had a store with some plants. the tour emphasize more on story on the plants. The trip included fun and interested plant explanation that we got to smell, and touch. During the walk this could have created a bigger deeper meaning in the tour. Also it would have been fun if they had points of activity like walking through different places with texture while blindfolded. maybe being blindfolded and a meditation or hear different noises. But I still love it. would also like if the had mud for us to put on our faces and body.

Absolutely incredible and far exceeded our expectations. The rainforest hike, swimming waterfalls, thermal springs, healthy local cuisine, and stunning natural beauty made for an unforgettable day. Our guide was phenomenal—knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely invested in making the experience special. This is eco-luxury at its finest. Yes, it’s a bit of a drive, but it is 1000% worth it. Without question, this is one of our top travel memories and a highlight of our time in Costa Rica.
