We had an absolutely incredible experience with Best Day Ever Tour Operators on our excursion to Buena Vista! From start to finish, the entire adventure was well organized, exciting, and unforgettable. The day was packed with amazing activities, including zip lining, horseback riding, and relaxing in the natural hot springs. It was the perfect combination of adventure, beautiful scenery, and relaxation, and gave us such a memorable way to experience Costa Rica. What truly made the experience exceptional was our guide, Bernie. He was absolutely amazing—attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely committed to making sure we had a great time. He shared helpful information throughout the day, kept everything running smoothly, and made the entire adventure fun from beginning to end. His personality and attention to detail elevated the whole experience. If you’re visiting Costa Rica and looking for an excursion that combines adventure, nature, and fun, I highly recommend Best Day Ever Tour Operators and the Buena Vista experience. And if you’re lucky enough to have Bernie as your guide, you’re in for an incredible day. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip!

My family and I did the adventure in volcano combo tour on Monday June 30, 2026 and had an absolutely incredible experience on this excursion, and a huge part of that was thanks to our outstanding tour guide, Rene! From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, energetic, and genuinely passionate about making sure everyone had a great time. His enthusiasm was contagious. This excursion exceeded all our expectations, and I can honestly say it wouldn't have been the same without such an exceptional guide.

Had a wonderful experience and our tour guide was Rene! He was very friendly and a very safe driver on those bumpy roads.

We would highly recommend this tour for families of all ages. We had a wonderful guide in Berny and driver in Sidar. They picked us up promptly as scheduled at our resort and headed in to the national park site. The guide pointed out different animals and birds on our swinging bridge tour. Then we went ziplining over gorgeous vistas. Everyone from our seven and ten year olds to grandparents took part in this adventure. The waterslide was very fast and intense but fun. Be sure to follow the instructions on how to go down the slide or you might end up a bit battered. We also rode horses around the forest and saw various birds and monkeys. The horses are well trained to the adventure and quite easy to ride. Lunch was very good and I would encourage you to sit outside as the view was beautiful. Then we tasted sugar cane and coffee and learned about the pottery of indigenous people. Lastly we went to the spa which was a great and relaxing experience including sauna, mud bath, and soaking pools. Our drive home turned into 2000s karaoke with Sidar which was such a fun way to end the day. This adventure is totally worth the investment!

It was really well planned out and our tour guides were amazing! We enjoyed every activity and got to see a lot of wildlife! It was a day well spent for our family!

AAA travel agent referred us through TripAdvisor to this tour. But the company itself was great! Rene was our tour guide. I was with my husband and three teenage children! We all enjoyed the day! It is a long day, so be prepared and go to bed early and be ready for an adventure! The zip lining felt super safe as well as the whole experience. You are not just going on a random trek -through the wilderness! This is a carefully curated experience. The horseback riding was wonderful! And I am not an adventurous person. This was my first time doing anything like this and I loved it. It was our favorite day by far, in Costa Rica! The lunch was fantastic- Very authentic, and delicious! Finishing the day in the Hot Springs was amazing! And the mud bath was super fun! But don’t be intimidated. It is mud that you lather yourself with. You don’t have to submerge yourself into mud. You keep it on for about 10 minutes and then wash yourself off in a clean shower before heading into the Hot Springs. My greatest complaint about the entire day I was having a cocktail at the end of the day… there was zero alcohol in it…. Not a huge drinker, but if you’re paying for a cocktail, there should be some thing in it, otherwise we should be charging you for a juice. Rene was fabulous, he took great pictures of us and he had them so that we chose not to purchase pictures and we didn’t have to. We purchased a few though, because the digital downloads were very reasonable at $5 each. There was also a good bit of history taught to us! My kids were super interested, and I was really surprised. It was wonderful to watch how the native people make their beautiful pottery and molasses! Even the van that we rode in was great. It was a huge Mercedes van. Super comfortable with great air-conditioning. Also on our tour, a couple of friends and.an actual couple… this is great for everybody! Just know that you are not actually trekking into the volcano. You are just in the area of the volcano. You don’t actually go through, or see it up close but you could see the heat rising, and that changed the configuration of the clouds, which was really cool to watch. I thought that was a little misleading, but you cannot beat the value for all that you get with a tour! Again, I can’t say enough about the tour and René.! Lastly, we overprepared for bugs and rain. There were a couple bugs, but wasn’t like they were swarming us. And we didn’t see any rain. The only time water was involved was the amazing waterslide ride! Do this! Oh and the waterfall!! Amazing!!

Berny was an excellent guide. Not only did he provide us with a great deal of information, he was kind and funny. When one of our party was overwhelmed by the bridges, he escorted her back. Sidar, our driver, took us to a spot to watch the others on the lines. Even on the ride back, they were looking nonstop for animals for us to see, even stopping so we could see spider monkeys. As Sidar said, it was a happy, happy time!

A once in a lifetime experience. Lots of climbing up and down bridges and stairs. Wear appropriate shoes. Zip lining was awesome. “The Best Day Ever” tour guides Berny and Sidar were knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. Would definitely use Viatour for our next vacation and recommend them to my friends!

This was the experience of a lifetime, and so worth the cost. What I expected to be a half-day event turned into a full day of adventure. Our guide, Rene, was very attentive and super fun to be around. Not only did he keep an eye out for and point out every tropical animal, he seemed genuinely excited about the sighting, even though I'm sure he personally sees them all the time. And he customized the experience throughout the day, being patient and offering other options for those who were struggling as well as accommodating those with more stamina so they didn't have to slow down or miss out. He was a true treasure, and so was every aspect of this excursion.
