This candlelit wine and food tasting in Agrippa’s ancient ruins was the perfect ending to our long weekend in Rome. Dining in the old Roman baths created such a unique atmosphere—the perfect blend of romance, culture, and history. Every course was thoughtfully paired and absolutely delicious. We started with a wonderful charcuterie and cheese selection alongside a crisp Prosecco that set the tone for the evening. Next came a flavorful cacio e pepe paired with a light white wine that complemented the dish beautifully. Our third course was a delicious saltimbocca served with a red wine that elevated every bite. We finished with a double feature of tiramisu and a salted caramel tart paired with a dessert wine that was the perfect sweet ending. Every food item had a wine pairing that truly made our taste buds sing. You could tell a lot of thought went into creating an experience where the flavors worked together seamlessly. Our guide, Eleonora, was fantastic. She was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke five languages, which really shined when another couple in attendance spoke only Spanish. Her ability to connect with everyone and effortlessly move between languages made the experience feel welcoming and inclusive. We often choose private tours, but decided to join the group experience this time, and we’re so glad we did. It was wonderful meeting people from around the world, and Eleonora did an amazing job bringing together different backgrounds into one unified and memorable evening. I cannot recommend this dinner experience enough! The setting was cavernous and cool, yet made incredibly cozy by the soft flicker of candlelight but our guide was the true highlight. She was absolutely wonderful—warm, charming, and incredibly knowledgeable! It felt like dining with a friend rather than a tour guide. She shared such fascinating insights into local cuisine and cooking traditions, and her stories about growing up in Trastevere gave us such a special, authentic glimpse into Roman life. Ellie truly made our night unforgettable. If you’re looking for a perfect evening in Rome, don’t miss this!

This was an intimate experience with only 6 guests the night we went. The experience delivered on every expectation, and Lisa was a wonderful host. We were served four wine-paired courses of traditional Roman food, well prepared and nicely presented. The venue was in the excavated remains of a Roman bath underneath a local restaurant, and the space was charming. We had our adult children with us, but this would be an unforgettable date-night experience in Rome.

This was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Rome. Clelia was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and truly excellent at what she does. The experience ended up being just my husband and me because another couple didn’t show, and I was initially worried it might feel awkward—but it couldn’t have been further from the truth. The food was outstanding, especially the cacio e pepe, and each wine pairing complemented the dishes perfectly. The setting was beautiful and made the whole experience even more special. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough—it was unforgettable!
We had such a good time! The food was fantastic and it turned out it was just us which was a bonus! Clelia was great at explaining the history of the place, introducing the food and giving us great advice on where to go in Rome. The wine pairings and sommelier knew what he was doing, it all went together so well! Definitely book this at the start of your holiday because you will get great advice on where to go the rest of the week!

Best food tour in Rome Italy! Very nice atmosphere and people! The tour lady was amazing! It’s amazing to think that at one time Roman’s bathed here. I would suggest coming the beginning of your trip since they give out many recommendations of Rome to eat!
This was an exceptional candle light dinner service below ground in the ancient Agrippa Baths. Lilly did a great job giving us the history of Agrippa- who was so important to the creation of the Pantheon, the Aquaducts and the Agrippa baths in Rome. Really a very special night, Thanks Lilly!
