First and foremost the guide Alexis was amazing! Young, knowledgable, very eloquent and spoke English incredibly well! The experience meeting point was changed only a few days before my trip to Italy so had to manage my time well with visiting the Colosseum earlier in the day but was simple enough to find after using the metro. The new meeting point however, seemed a little rough but found a nice cafe to have something to eat and drink before the experience so wasn’t too bad! Now the experience itself was so much fun and it turned out that me and my partner were the only people on the tour so found it a lot more intimate and enjoyable with just us and Alex in the other car. The car itself was everything you would expect from an old Fiat 500… small, cramped, only a left wing mirror, slow and have to put it into 2nd gear before putting it into 1st… (I know!) however, it was perfect! Just the best thing to get around the busy and tight streets of Rome and to be honest the roads weren’t even that busy! During our visit Italy was in the midst of a heatwave so it was about 39°C when we did it so had the roof off however, Alex did give us a tip if your passenger held the soft top roof in a certain position is acted like a wind trap so was the perfect air con! Saw some beautiful sights around Rome which we wouldn’t have seen unless we had done the tour and stopped off at some locations for plenty of drinks and photos! Have to admit Alex was also very good at taking photos and will capture the experience perfectly for you! Alex taught me how to drive like a Roman and it is something I will treasure for a lifetime! Great experience and great way to celebrate my 40th Birthday and so glad I did it! I would 100% recommend this experience and would consider doing something similar in other city visits if available!
We had an amazing experience on the self-drive Fiat 500 tour in Rome! It was 5/5 from start to finish. Driving through the streets of Rome in a classic Fiat 500 was such a fun and unique way to see the city. A special thank you to Alexis, our tour guide, who was fantastic. He took us to beautiful churches and stunning viewpoints overlooking Rome, sharing interesting information along the way. He was also incredibly kind and accommodating when we arrived late, which we really appreciated. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome. Thank you, Alexis, for making it such a memorable day!
Can't imagine funniest activity in Rome than driving classic Cinquecento in the neighbourhoods. We've had the pleasure of having Francesco as a tour guide. Friendly, no nonsense guy for whom nothing is too much trouble. It felt like having a friend showing you around the less travelled but nonetheless interesting places in Rome. I originally booked a Fiat 500 hire for a day through different company which cancelled on us. I'm glad they did. Communication and organisation was 100% as agreed. We thoroughly recommend Rome500experience to anyone.

Our wedding anniversary! Fantastic.
The experience was awesome and really the highlight of our visit, not just to Rome, but to Italy. Alex, our guide was fantastic expertly guiding us round the city. A very different way to take in the sites, squeezing through narrow passages in the Travestere and zooming past the Colosseum in our pink little Fiat. We even had time for a quick snack of pizza and cappuccino. All in all, an incredible experience and I got my own roman drivers licence at the end of it (a fridge magnet) as I hadn't crashed into anyone the whole tour. A must do when visiting Rome!
We had an amazing Fiat 500 tour in Rome that turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our trip, and a huge part of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Alexis. From the very beginning, he made us feel welcome and at ease, and his passion for the city was contagious—he shared fascinating stories and hidden spots we would have never found on our own, all while keeping the experience fun and relaxed. it truly felt like exploring Rome with a knowledgeable friend rather than being on a typical tour, his energy and genuine friendliness made the whole experience unforgettable, so if you’re thinking about doing a Fiat 500 tour, we can only highly recommend it—especially with Alexis!
My wife I reserved this trip and had an absolute blast driving around Roma on a Sunday morning with a nice surprise at 12pm. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable of the city and gave us an amazing tour. Driving in Roma can be a challenge but everybody was taking our pictures and had big smiles. Would recommend for anybody.
Alex was a fantastic guide. Really great tour and would 100% recommend for anyone visiting Rome
Great tour with Mike. Saw lots of Rome we otherwise wouldn't have seen. Great fun and enjoyed his sense of humour!. Ideally, you should be confident driving a old manual car and anticipating Italian drivers! Highly recommend.
