Despite the pouring rain all morning, Carol made the best of this tour taking me around by car to two temples, a clan house, a jetty and a tour in the Pinang Peramakan Mansion. She also drove me around and pointed out a bunch of sites I could visit later, and provided some useful background information. There is probably more to get if the wheather would have been dry, but I still thought this was pretty good value, and I couldn't have spent my time better that morning. So recommended, even if it rains - and will only be even better when it doesn't,
Being driven instead of walking was super helpful in the humidity. Just the basic history covered though.
We had a great experience with Vejay exploring all the highlights and some of the more obscure but beautiful parts of George Town, Penang and the surrounding areas. it was great to have such a knowledgeable and flexible guide who took the time to make sure we got the experience we wanted and we will happy contact him again next time we are in the area.
Such an interesting heritage , history everywhere you looked. Mohammad was lovely and we enjoyed our half day.
Absolutely shocking experience by trip advisor - we booked a trip through them and they couldn't pick us up from the hotel and then they couldnt find a driver and then cancelled our trip and kept our money - absolutely scam!
A lively morning tour, learning the history of Penang. We visited a number of exhibits and attractions. We probably would have liked a bit more history and culture and a bit less shopping opportunities, but it was a good tour and the guide was really friendly and knowledgeable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Mohamed. He was informative, flexible and made out morning very pleasant.
Muhammad picked me up promptly in a very comfortable vehicle. He is very well versed in the history of Georgetown/Penang. I particularly enjoyed brunch with him in a locals restaurant. Seeing Harmony road, the mansion, and the museum were real treats. The murals around town are a must see.
We greatly enjoyed this tour. Muhammad was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide and a very safe driver. Each of the locations we visited was wonderful and the tour included some that we would not have found ourselves. Muhammad ensured that we gain easy access to each location and recommended an additional location which was very interesting.
Carol was a wonderful guide for our private half day tour. She showed us everything on the itinerary with great efficiency, getting us tickets where required and getting us to Peranakan Mansion in time for the English tour, answering our questions and offering us insights into Penang history and culture. Thanks to her, her great driving and local connections, we fit much more into half a day than we would have managed on our own! And she also made an extra stop so I could pick up some nutmeg balm and try some nutmeg juice, which was a lovely treat. Thanks, Carol!
