PR6 & PR6.1 25 Fontes & Risco Levada Caminhada Autoguiada Rabaçal

Fun trip - enjoyed it and would recommend 👍 Well worth the time and money. One of the best levadas to hike.

We were picked up on time near our accommodation. The driver drove a taxi in which a total of 9 people, including us, found space; it was a bit cramped and only partially air-conditioned due to an older air conditioning system. The drive to the start of the hike took 1.5 hours. On site we had 4 hours, which was doable, but also offered no possibility for a longer break if you wanted to hike the PR6 and PR6.1. The path between the parking lot and the start is very steep and strenuous; plan at least 30 minutes for this if you have a brisk walking pace, otherwise probably longer. We were picked up on time again and brought to the specified pickup location from the morning. The driver did not say anything during the drive, no music was playing either, and she made short phone calls in between - basically she seemed nice and drove the car safely and comfortably.

Very professional the early start was well worth beating the crowds we were the first at the waterfalls and it was beautiful. When we left the carpark was completely full and very busy.

Lots of stairs! Very busy hike. I would almost say an earlier pick up time would be even better if you really want to experience the waterfall without crowds. Our driver Diogo was very nice and knowledgeable and punctual.

We really enjoyed this trip. PR6 is a beautiful, lush and green trail, although it does get a bit more crowded around midday. Our driver was very friendly, and we had plenty of time to comfortably complete both PR6 and PR6.1 without feeling rushed.

Diogo excellent .. punctual collection, assured driving, gave sensible expectations for the walk. Helped us arrange the hiking permits. A very enjoyable day.

It was great idea to start early we ended up having the entire trail to ourselves. It was great for having the waterfalls to ourselves for pics.

Unfortunately, it does not explicitly state that you have to buy the tickets for hiking yourself in advance. We booked the tour and then wanted to buy the tickets online. However, we then realized that no access was available on that day. In the end, we still received tickets from the tour operator 👍🏼 Clear information stating "you also need an online ticket for the day, please check this before you book the tour" would be desirable (at GetYourGuide, for example, this is clearly described)

Hike was great, driver was great however the whole tour could be a hour less. We were nearly 3 hours waiting around for the driver yo collect the group

Booked via Do it Madeira, even ambiguity about adding the fee for the park but good assistance. We were picked up by Adriana at 5:35, early but so worth it. Adriana was also such a nice woman, lots of tips before and after the hike. Compliments!
