Os Museus Capitolinos são a coleção pública mais antiga do mundo, com uma coleção impressionante de tudo, desde estátuas antigas até pinturas renascentistas. O Papa Sisto IV deu os famosos bronzes de Latrão à cidade de Roma. Este presente incluía a Loba, o Spinario, o Camilo, a cabeça colossal de Constantino com a mão e o Globo. Desde então, as esculturas antigas foram coletadas no Capitólio Começaremos nossa jornada por este lugar incrível do Palazzo Nuovo, onde você pode admirar muitas esculturas famosas, incluindo a Galata Moribunda, a Vênus Capitolina, os dois Centauros e o Fauno Dançante, mas também relevos, mosaicos, bronzes do helenístico ao período romano e os maravilhosos bustos dos governantes. After a bit of trouble finding the tour guide, tour went wonderfully. Knowledgeable, helpful and very personable guide. Museum is awe inspiring and well worth it!

Guide was great, a little tough to understand, but our issue was limited hours during New Years Eve, not her fault but felt rushed and not the best tour.

We enjoyed seeing the fascinating and ancient items housed in the Capitoline museum. The archeologist who led the tour was informative and showed us highlights of the collection which she enriched with pertinent historical and political context.
