We had a late afternoon tour with Simone on our first day in Rome after a long international flight. Simone picked us up at our hotel and took us on an amazing golf cart tour to reintroduce us to the sights we had been to many years earlier. This was a perfect way to see Rome when first arriving. He was extremely knowledgeable and kind and very informative about the history of all the sights. Simone also took us to a coffee shop near the coliseum for some gelato which was a nice break. Overall, our tour with Simone was outstanding and he even dropped us off at the end at a restaurant we had reservations for.
Overall, a fun experience. My family and I are on the third leg of our European vacation and had arrived in Rome earlier that day. Having done enough walking for a lifetime, we wanted to give our two teenagers an opportunity to see Roman highlights in a way that was fun. This tour was that - a highlight tour. Our guide, Karim, picked us up (on time mind you) right in front of our hotel and whisked us away first to the Colosseum, where we stopped for a complimentary drink (for the adults) and gelato (for the kids). While my wife and I have been to Rome before, this was a great way for the kids to first experience the Colosseum. From there, Karim whisked us away to many of the other notable sites, where we he took photos for us (hard to get all 4 of us in photos without taking a selfie, so this was a nice change of pace) and gave us time (about 10 min each) to look around (he also gave us a brief history of the site before letting us explore). For a 3-hour tour, this was perfect for us. In sum, please remember this is a highlights tour. You see the site, you take a photo or tour, briefly explore, and move on to the next site: if you are looking for an in-depth tour of each site, then this is not that - but this is NOT advertised as that. It’s just a great way to familiarize yourself (or others) with Rome. Finally, Karim offers to drop you back at your hotel or at a restaurant. We took at 6pm tour, so we opted for a restaurant and Karim dropped us off at one he recommended at the city center. We enjoyed the food. That said, NO PRESSURE to eat there. Karim will take you anywhere, so if you have a restaurant in mind already, then just let him know and he will make it happen. Overall, a fun time had by all and a welcome break from 20-30k steps each day :)
Francesco was amazing!!! So helpful and the tour given the weather was perfect in this heat. We got so much information and tips on the tour and local recommendations. We loved tour guide francesco so much that we have asked him to help us book the vatican tour as well. Highly recommend!
Excellent. Super knowledgeable and really nice. We had the best day and saw so much of Rome. Lorenzo was the best!
Family of 11 traveling and booked 3 hour tour. We had 2 golf carts. Only made it to 2nd site when one cart with 6 people broke down. Driver of broken down cart very unprofessional. Families were split up and other cart was only able to see one other site.
We had an amazing golf cart tour of Rome with Riccardo as our guide! From the start, he customized the experience to meet our interests and needs, making the tour feel personal and perfectly tailored to our group. Riccardo was incredibly informative and shared fascinating insights about Rome’s history, landmarks, and hidden gems throughout the tour. His knowledge and enthusiasm brought the city to life and made every stop more meaningful. Traveling by golf cart was a fun and convenient way to explore Rome, and Riccardo ensured we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. We truly appreciated his flexibility, professionalism, and friendly personality. We highly recommend Riccardo to anyone looking for a memorable, personalized, and informative tour of Rome!
This is a must do experience and Francesa and Giorgio made this the best 3 hours spent in Rome! We had a large group with 2 tuk tuks and they were both incredible patient, knowledgeable, took us to sights we would have never seen otherwise and we learnt so much. Excellent view points, value for money and although it was very hot, they kept us shaded and strategically planned the evening out. Highly recommended and thank you!!
The absolute best way to see Rome across generations! Exploring Rome with three kids (9 and 11) , parents, and grandparents could have been challenging, but this 3 hour golf cart tour made it completely effortless! Our guide, Francesca, was brilliant. She was super knowledgeable and brought history to life for the adults, while keeping the kids hooked with interactive pictures and maps on her iPad. Traveling by golf cart kept the grandparents comfortable and off their feet while still taking in all the major sights. Plus, the included stop for gelato and soft drinks near the Colosseum was a genius touch that recharged everyone's energy. Thank you, Francesca!
The actual tour part was good, but they advertised that brunch and bottled water was included in the price and neither was provided. I tried contacting them and they didn’t respond. Viator tried to call them and it was auto disconnected. They should partially refund us for services not provided and false advertising.
The tour itself was fantastic, and a great way to see the highlights of Rome. Our guide (Marco?) knew a lot and tailored the tour to what we were interested in. We loved zipping around the tiny streets that one doesn’t see from a bus or car. That said, we were quite disappointed with Viator and the administrators of the tour company. We had booked this tour for earlier in the day, but the system wouldn’t accept our pickup location and no options were given for pickups. We messaged, called, etc. and were eventually told we be picked up at our apartment. The driver never showed and no one contacted us! The tour company didn’t answer the phone and Viator said they would find out if we could do the tour later. We were told to stay in our apartment and wait for instructions by email. No email arrived. We spent the rest of the day trying to arrange another trip, as this was our last day in Rome. Finally we booked a tour for 7:00pm , and everything was great from there on!
