Passeio de Moto no Algarve

Riding the superb Yamaha FZX 750’s, through the hills of the Algarve countryside with Carlos was a truly brilliant experience. The scenery becomes increasingly beautiful as you ride higher, the road becomes more engaging with every corner and counter corner, and the your mind mind becomes ever more peaceful with the pure pleasure of a motorcyclist’s paradise. Seems like hyperbole until you do it yourself!! Carlos, a true native of the land, radiates enthusiasm and passion for motorbikes and his beloved Algarve. Our ride was broken up by great chats a very very VERY tasty lunch! I strongly recommend this tour, and I will repeat it when I am back in the area again. My experience was outstanding. The day started out with an easy flowing ride through some quiet roadways. Then we proceeded along some beautiful spots where we had some breathtaking views of Algarve. The trip and locations were explained by Carlos in great detail and he was able to answer any and all questions that I had. Unfortunately we had a massive power failure throughout Portugal but we were unaffected by this power failure. The day concluded at his place of business and we enjoyed conversation/discussions about our trip. Excellent adventure… Thank you Carlos!

I've been living in Portugal for 2 years now and this tour was one of my best days in this beautiful country! When you arrive at the shop, you are immediately impressed by the collection of meticulous bikes, as well as Carlos' welcoming personality! He does a great job of preparing you for the day and making sure everyone is comfortable and ready to go. The tour took us up into the mountains, along beautiful twisty roads, through quaint little villages, past incredible scenery, then down to the coastline to explore one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the Algarve. Carlos obviously spent a great amount of time and effort to carefully build a tour route that provides fun riding on all the twisty winding roads, beautiful scenery and a real taste of the beauty of Portugal. The stops along the way were fantastic, including a fantastic lunch spot that provided us with a breathtaking view of the coastline from atop the mountains! If you want to really explore what Portugal is all about, I highly recommend this tour. Carlos, having lived here all his life, is an excellent ambassador and guide!

My brother and I were treated to a terrific riding adventure . The classic Yamaha motorcycles were a great match for the Tour . We made several stops at points of interest and had a tasty lunch at a cozy Portuguese cafe. Carlos was the perfect host , we were extremely satisfied. Looking forward to our next ride!

Had the most wonderful experience on my bike tour with Algarve Classic Rides. Carlos is a lovely chap, fantastic guide, very helpful, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. He knew all the best biking roads to take us that we'd never have found ourselves and the bikes were brilliant, immaculately maintained by Carlos himself and so easy to ride. They were absolutely perfect for just enjoying the empty winding roads, magnicient mountain scenery and ocean views and the authentic villages we passed though, including one where we stopped at a traditional Algarve Taverna for the most delicious meal which was also included in the tour price! The whole day was brilliant value for money, we had a fantastic time, loved every minute and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing riding experience in the sunny Algarve - thanks Carlos!

I've done motorbike tours and hired bikes in several countries I've visited but this one was by far the best. Having now ridden the famous N2 I can see why so many press releases I read about new bikes take place in this area. The tarmac is superb, it's just bend after bend, many cambered so you smoothly swing through one after the other, superb views and best of all - no traffic!! An almost unbelievable lack of tin boxes getting in your way and if you do come up behind one they invariably pull to one side to let you pass. I always thought the French were good at this but the Portuguese are on another level. The owner, Carlos, is a lovely guy with excellent English and he has personally restored a fleet of Yamaha FZX750's to immaculate condition for you to just pick the colour you fancy and go for a ride. His knowledge and passion for bikes and his homeland really shines through to make that special difference. He guides you on his equally immaculate Yamaha V-Max to places that you wouldn't see as a normal tourist, or simply just hired a bike like I've done in the past. The day included riding up through the mountains with just enough stops to hydrate and take in the fantastic views before descending down towards the coast and the town of Tavira, riding right next to a beautiful (deserted) beach at one point. We had a lovely traditional Algarvian meal (included in the price) at a small restaurant in the mountains, sat outside, overlooking stunning views South. Again, as a normal tourist you just wouldn't sample this type of local cuisine or be part of this genuine experience - you wouldn't be able to find the restaurant for a start! All in all I thought the day was excellent value for money, especially as everything is provided, and refreshingly there are no hidden extras. Carlos' sole focus was to make the day as interesting and as enjoyable as possible and it was certainly an experience I will never forget. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Being a motorcyclist from Canada it was a no brainer to give this a try. Carlos was a very knowledgeable host. He is passionate about the Algarve and motorcycles. The tour included magnificent views of the countryside and the ocean. One of my highlights was traveling through the villages in mountains and along the coast. Carlos treated me to lunch at a roadside restaurant with an amazing view. The meal was splendid. Carlos is very knowledgeable about the history of the Algarve. His passion and pride are undeniable. He took me to places that I would not be able to find on my own. His bikes are meticulously maintained and in fantastic shape. He let me pick the bike that suited my riding style. This was the the highlight of my two week trip to the Algarve! Thank you for theexperience, Carlos. Until next time my friend!
