Had the best night with Kevin on the hidden backstreet foodie tour. It totally delivered what it said it would and more. Kevin is a great host and was a hit even with the teenagers. We moved around the backstreets to sample local treats and rarely saw a tourist. Kevin went over and above to make sure our short visit to Osaka (we came in for the tour from Kyoto) gave a sense of the city. Would totally recommend.
Had a blast eating food and learning about Japan with Tommy and Kevin.

Our Osaka food tour with Kevin was one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we met him, he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made everyone feel comfortable. He has a great sense of humor that kept the group laughing throughout the tour, and he was always happy to answer questions and offer helpful recommendations for the rest of our stay in Japan. What really set Kevin apart was his storytelling. Every stop came with fascinating history, local culture, and fun personal stories that made the food and the city come alive. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and his enthusiasm was contagious. If you’re considering this tour, I highly recommend asking for Kevin. He made the experience memorable, educational, and a lot of fun. He’s an outstanding guide and absolutely deserves a raise for the level of service and energy he brings to every tour. Tommy was outstanding! This walking food tour was a surprise package and completely made our visit to Osaka. We not only discovered amazing local food and hidden gems that we’d never be able to find on our own, but Tommy’s local knowledge, warmth, humour and energy made our night an unforgettable one. An Aussie who speaks perfect Japanese and has lived in Osaka for almost a decade was the perfect combo for a tour guide. I could not recommend Namba Food tours more highly. We had such a wonderful time on our food tour with Tommy! It ended up being just my friend and me, which made the experience feel really personal and relaxed. Tommy was incredibly friendly, chatty, and welcoming from the start, and he made us feel completely at ease. He took us to some fantastic local spots that we never would have found on our own, and every stop was absolutely delicious. It felt like a truly authentic and traditional Osaka food experience rather than a typical tourist tour. I had a fantastic time at the street food tour with Tommy as guide. We went to 5 different restaurants and I tried lots of different Japanese cuisines. My favourite was the octopus balls. Tommy was a great guide and I highly recommend the street food tour.
