A sua aventura com Northern Lights começa no momento em que o nosso Guia experiente o recebe do ponto de recolha escolhido em Reykjavík, dirigindo um super jeep 4×4 especialmente equipado projetado para a viagem. Uma vez que todos estejam a bordo, vamos deixar o brilho da cidade para trás e aventurar-nos na imensa escuridão tranquila da paisagem da Islândia. Enquanto buscamos o céu para a Aurora Borealis, a rota pode levar-nos para além de alguns dos atrativos naturais do país - escondidos na sombra, mas revelados pelo olho e conhecimento do seu Guia. Quando as condições parecem boas, seu Guia escolherá o local perfeito para ver com base nas previsões meteorológicas da noite. Então, é hora de se instalar e esperar que o espetáculo da natureza se desenrole. As luzes do norte normalmente dançam cerca de 100 quilômetros acima da superfície da Terra – uma exibição do outro mundo nascida perto do pólo magnético norte. Assistir a fitas de cores varrendo o céu se sente quase fora da terra, como se o próprio cosmos estivesse pintando durante a noite. Certifique-se de se vestir calorosamente, pois o ar da noite islandês pode ser brilhante. Um suéter de fleece ou uma das nossas coberturas confortáveis ajudará a manter o frio longe enquanto você espera. Para tornar o momento ainda mais confortante, vamos servir-lhe uma xícara a vapor de cacau em conjunto com uma mordida de chocolate doce. This was a great. Our guide (H) really made the experience. He was adept at handling the vehicle confidently off-road through the snow, was passionate and knowledgeable about the science of northern lights, took great photos of the group and even told funny jokes. We saw an amazing show of northern lights and would definitely recommend.

The super jeep experience is totally worth it. The tour guide Mr H was great and very knowledgeable of the best spots and timing. He took us high on the mountains where there was a cloud opening and got some of the best lights of the season even when cloud coverage was very bad and snowy. During the same week we had booked a small tour with a different company on a small bus and it didn’t had the versatility that this tour had.

Tour guide was creative and honest about conditions. He found a spot for us to see lights even w bad conditions. Courteous and funny. Highly recommend
We were cancelled the original night due to weather, which happens, so booked on the following night, timings was advised to be at pick up 15 minutes early, the arrival was within this but you MUST be early. We were taken out the city and were told to be patient, it does not just happen and knew it was not guaranteed, went to a couple of different spots, but the driver felt where we stopped finally we had a high chance, he served Hot chocolate, biscuits and Vodka if you wanted it whilst we waited, we saw the Northern lights, had plenty of time to explore and watch and was never rushed, had some pictures taken which we had to look online to obtain but these were free also. The guide explained everything, advised it was not guaranteed, was patient and gave us some explanations on what we were looking for. Very succesful and enjoyable evening.

This is a great tour. Hjortur is a pro, he knows how to find the lights if the are happening. I would highly recommend. Plus, it's a cool ride.

I did this tour 2 nights in a row. First the day I landed (27/1/26) with tour guide ‘Buck’. He was brilliant. It was a very cloudy night, so he went off roading to try and find us some lights. This is why I booked this tour, over the big bus. We were lucky that we saw the lights, but it wasn’t the dancing experience I was hoping for. That’s why I booked another tour. I was given 10% off from the company due to being a returner. The next night I was with tour guide Klemmi. Klemmi was lovely and very informative. We saw the lights within a few minutes. He then drove us to a spot to wait. Around 23:10, Aurora chose to dance. It was incredible!!. Seeing the lights dance was something I dreamed off! Thank you to both guides. They were both great in their own ways.
