It was the perfect amount of walking, food and history. Beth was amazing and I would highly recommend this food tour.
Excellent tour for both food quality & variety, even for vegetarians, & information provided by the guide. Enjoyable time & experience.
Beth was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable on New Orleans history and relating it to their foods. great restaurant choices.
I was very happy with the tour all around. I felt the selection was balanced, the distance was fine & our guide, Beth, was amazing. She was a wealth of knowledge, not only about NOLA, but every state each tour participant was from, she knew some tidbit of history. Really enjoyed all the information we learned. Will I remember it? Hopefully, but it was a lot. We had a vegetarian in our group & each establishment catered to his needs. The first restaurant was very nice, it was at the meeting spot 3rd Block Depot. We ate chicken & sausage gumbo. I didn’t think I liked gumbo, but it was good. Then we were off the Pepper Palace. We had ice cream with spicy sauce. It was hot! Then we went to Leah’s Prailine. The brittle was so good I had to buy some. The toNola Poboys. We had catfish poboy, boudin ball (very good) and muffeletta. Then to to Creole Cookery. The restaurant was so nice inside. Ate beans & rice and bananas foster. Both were very good. I had zero Complaints & would recommend.
Beth was very informative and we had a great experience, highly recommend. Everything was delicious.
The guide was great and the food choices were indicative of the local cuisine. But we did not think the dishes were that tasty and the food was seldom warm.
Good afternoon, Robert! I'm so glad you enjoyed the guide and thought she was great. Sorry you didn't care for the food choices. All the best, Dylan
Fun, educational, food worthy. The tour guide made the trip more enjoyable than I could have imagined.
The food was delicious and perfect portions. Beth the tour guide provided history of how each dish started in New Orleans and how it got its name. Beth is very personable and funny. Anyone visiting New Orleans should take this food tour. Come hungry leave full!
This tour provided a good way to familiarize yourself with typical NOLA food and the food culture. We tasted gumbo, a shrimp po boy, alligator!, red beans and rice, pralines, and bread pudding. Beth was great, sharing food history, NOLA history and offered recommendations for dining for the rest of our stay. A good activity at the start of your trip
Great tour of food and history! I learned so much about New Orleans and the importance of food and Megan was a terrific guide.
