The kitchen staff was amazing fun and lively. The band was absolutely amazing, took requests and the calliope player on top of the boats was the icing on top (literally). Overall a great experience

Easy booking with Viator. Family friendly and overall good experience. Jazz band was a nice touch and the captain was very knowledgeable.
Wonderful atmosphere, friendly people and great music! We didn't eat the food, however it looked very tasty. You can buy souvenirs , they also have bottled water and other non alcohol and alcohol drinks.
We booked the afternoon trip with no meal. We set out in the deck and listened to the music and enjoyed the views. Very relaxing and nice cruise on a very hot afternoon.

Not happy about writing this review!! I have had AWESOME experiences so far, BUT we were placed on a different boat. I called Viator Customer Service to find out why. Soooo they read to me from the Vendor's page that they use. You can be put on another boat for various reasons, so not only should I have read Viators fine print BUT also the vendor they use fine print!!!
We regret that you were not able to cruise on the ship of your choice. Various factors can contribute to the need to substitute on riverboat for its sister ship.
When it's hot, hot hot, sit at the front of the boat. The dixie land jazz band in the lower deck was wonderful. It was nice to be able to sit down there and cool off on the way back to the dock.
The best breeze in town is on the deck of the riverboat. New Orleans is know for its sultry weather so a gentle breeze means alot.
1) Takes longer due to wait before boarding. 2) Bad acoustics! Tourguide’s info very interesting, but can be heard only if you sit near speakers. 3) Food is buffet, not bad. 4) Nice way to spend an afternoon.
Thank you for sharing your thought. We appreciate the comment on the acoustics. Although we monitor the speakers, the outdoor conditions sometimes reach them before we do.
I loved this experience the food was great I had 2 plates lol and the vibe was nice only thing I didn’t like was the water wasn’t a great sight to look at lol but the experience and vibe was great
