Este é um belo e vibrante templo hindu (ou Kovil) dedicado ao Senhor Ganesha, a divindade de cabeça de elefante venerada como o Removedor de Obstáculos e o Deus da Sabedoria. Arquitetura: Possui um gopuram de estilo dravidiano impressionantemente colorido (torre de entrada) adornado com esculturas e estátuas complexas de vários deuses e deuses hindus. Significado: serve como um lugar vital de culto para a comunidade hindu local, refletindo a rica herança multi-religiosa de Negombo. Mercado de peixes Negombo e campos de peixes secos O Negombo Fish Market, localmente conhecido como Lellama, é um pedaço caótico, colorido e autêntico da vida local. É um dos maiores e mais dinâmicos mercados de peixe da ilha. O Mercado: Melhor visitado no início da manhã (cerca de 6:00 da manhã) para ver os pescadores descarregar suas capturas frescas de atum, caranguejo, caranguejos e vários peixes de recife. O Canal Holandês em Negombo, oficialmente conhecido como o Canal Hamilton, é uma fascinante via navegável histórica que serve como uma ligação viva ao passado colonial de Sri Lanka e à comunidade pesqueira local. O canal percorre cerca de 14,5 quilômetros (9 milhas), conectando Puttalam a Colombo, e passa direito através de Negombo, onde se liga com a Laguna de Negombo.

Had a great time and was taken to enough places. Great selection of sites from temples to fish market. The length of time was ample and Atula had a sarong for us to use. We should have realised and wore knee length skirts.

Absolutely brilliant tour guide, very knowledgeable and polite. Provided ice cold water for free. Took us to some stunning churches and temples, and to the famous fish market ( be prepared for strong smells, luckily I'm from Grimsby so the smell of fish didn't bother me). The tour guide didn't pressure us or take us to anywhere we didn't want to go and even offered to take us to an ATM and a supermarket to buy rice (as my phone succumbed to the 95% humidity so needed drying out). Great value for money definitely recommended and will use again.

Great tour, i saw all the sights, tour took 2 and a galf hours which was perfect. Saw all the temples, fish market, dutch fort and canals. The guide explained everything and was really friendly. I would revommend
