Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely regret that you left the tour with this impression. However, we believe it is important to clarify several factual inaccuracies contained in this review for the benefit of future travelers.
This was a full-day private tour of approximately 15 hours covering the Normandy D-Day sites and Mont Saint-Michel. Every location included in the itinerary was visited, and the tour was completed in full.
The review repeatedly states that our guide was “unlicensed” and that the tour “could not continue.” Neither statement is accurate.
Our guide is a professional guide-accompagnateur, legally authorized to accompany visitors throughout France and to provide historical and cultural commentary during the tour. During the Abbey visit, the monument staff reminded our guide of the specific regulations governing guided commentary inside this protected monument. We immediately complied with those instructions, and the visit continued normally. The guests completed the entire Abbey visit and the overall itinerary exactly as planned.
Contrary to what is suggested in this review:
the tour was not cancelled;
the guests were not asked to leave the Abbey;
the Abbey visit was completed;
the full itinerary advertised on Viator was delivered.
We completely respect every guest’s right to express a personal opinion. However, statements such as “our guide was unlicensed,” “government officials recognized him,” and “we could not continue the tour” are presented as facts, although they do not accurately describe what actually occurred.
Our company has always been committed to complying with French regulations. Following this experience, we further improved the tour by clearly informing future travelers that the Abbey visit is conducted in accordance with the monument’s current guiding policy, ensuring complete transparency for all guests.

The private tour was an incredible way to spend one of our days in France. Visiting the historical sites was amazing, and having Natalie as our guide was a delightful experience. I would strongly recommend this experience.

Hope You're Energetic!
Our guide, Alexandra, was delightful and provided much information to enhance our tour. She was efficient and considerate, allowing us rest stops whenever we wanted. Our lunch at the D Day site was delicious and we followed her recommendations. Mount Saint Michel is not for the weak or weary. The steps are horrendous, so if you are all challenged mobility wise, please don't go.

The tour to Mont Saint Michel and Omaha Beach was great!! Alex was a super chill and safe driver, and Oksana was an awesome guide who explained everything in a fun and easy way. The whole day was smooth and really interesting. Totally worth it and I would do it again!!

A Day in Normandy
Fantastic day! The Bayeux Tapestry was an unforgettable experience, and Mont Sainte Michelle even more beautiful than its photos. Our driver Ivan was not only an excellent driver but also extremely personable and knowledgeable.

The Bayeux tapestry and St-Michel is a must see
We were so glad to see the tapestry before it is removed for renovation for the next 18 months! Mont Sant-Michel is a breathtaking as the photos portray. Our driver was excellent: safe, professional and interesting.

Excellent day trip from Paris.
An excellent experience. Ivan was our driver/guide. It’s a long drive from Paris and back but Ivan kept it all enjoyable. I will definitely recommend this trip to friends who visit Paris.

Best way to see the Bayeux Tapestry and Mont-Saint-Michel from Paris in a single day
From the start to the finish, we could not have experienced a better tour. Pickup at our hotel was on time and the vehicle we road in was new, clean, and in excellent condition. Our driver (Ivan) and guide (Valentin) made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip. Ivan was an excellent driver and we felt safe while riding with him at the wheel.
This tour provided exactly what we were looking for. In our trip to Paris, it was very important for us to be able to see the Bayeux Tapestry and Mont-Saint-Michel in a single day. This tour was well planned and made efficient use of our time to see both sights. Valentin provided an excellent narrative of the areas we were traveling through while we were in the car. He also did a great job of explaining both sites once we arrived. At the Bayeux Tapestry, the tour narrative uses an audio headset provided by the museum. This is because the museum does not allow a guide to provide a separate narration of the tapestry. At Mount-Saint-Michel, we were guided by Valentin throughout our visit. His knowledge of all the areas of the site was excellent.
Adequate time was provided for breaks while traveling and also at the site. The value provided was superior!
