We had a 4-student class with Dael. Started at San Pedro market (facing Santa Clara, between Cascaparo and Ca. Thupaq Amaru), where we went into the market and Dael educated us on the market and local groceries. Sampled a couple of things. Then a bit of a trek to the studio and the class began. It was very well paced and geared for all-comers. We were both doing some of the prepping as well as getting to sit down with food we made and plated to enjoy. Great experience 10/10 would do again and recommend!
Chef Mauricio was incredible - extremely knowledgeable. Great guide, teacher The market tour was very interesting The menu was typical and delicious Heavily recommended
The tour of the market was great. The cooking class was so much fun. And the food was delicious. A great opportunity to meet people, learn about the food and the culture, and enjoy amazing food.
Chef Dael did a great job teaching us about the different produce in San Pedro Market and then showed us how to create amazing dishes using these items. A great way to spend time in Cusco.
Such a fun cooking class! We really enjoyed learning about the local Peruvian foods and getting to cook with them. Our chef Mauricio was very nice and even went out of his way to help us navigate a personal problem. He also paid for a taxi to take us back to the kitchen when it started raining and I didn’t have a coat. The food was all very delicious and the kitchen was very nice and clean!
Excellent tour with an excellent guide. We loved the market tour and really enjoyed the ceveche. The kitchen is cute and clean too!
The chef was extremely talented and patient explaining and teaching. The trip to the market is really insightful and combines culture with exotic foods! The dishes you later make with them are extremely delicious and the desert of fresh fruits with chocolate was the cherry on top to send me home with the biggest smile. I loved it and would book this again next time i visit!
Excellent chef. Personal, friendly and made the experience fun. The quality of Food we created was surprisingly good
Fantastic overall market + cooking class experience and highlight of our Peru travels! Mauricio was an excellent chef and knowledgeable guide. We had a tour of San Pedro Market, from which we had the chance to learn about the culture and history behind the ingredients we were to use in the cooking class. As for the cooking class, the food was delicious and fresh, featuring local ingredients to make ceviches, a multi-component entrée, soup, dessert, and drinks, and could accommodate allergies / dietary restrictions in the group. The cooking class / dining room area was spacious and bright. Would definitely recommend this experience!
This was a highlight of our trip! Right up there with visiting Machu Picchu. Dael was fun and chose a wonderful menu for us. I learned so much! I can’t wait to try some of these amazing recipes at home. From San Pedro market to cooking and eating dessert the class was 3.5 delightful hours.
