Unfortunately the local guide changed the meeting time which we accepted, however we waited 30min at the meeting place as directed. We could not locate the guide. Refund promised.
Dear Alison, Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your experience. We understand how frustrating it must have been to wait at the meeting point after agreeing to a schedule change and then be unable to locate the guide. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will review this incident with our local team to better understand what happened and help prevent similar situations in the future. The full refund has been sent. Have a nice day!
Wonderful walking tour with Calvin. Showed us around the town with a lot of insightful info and stories. Also possible to re-route depending on whether you would like to see more or other sights (we were lucky it was only me and my partner). It was even longer than 2h. Highly recommend also in regards to value for money!
Nic was an excellent guide with a friendly and relaxed style. The pace of the tour was just right and Nic provided interesting information and anecdotes as we wandered past the key sights, both historic and more recent such as the laneway street art. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning in Melbourne!
My friend Jenny and I met our guide Nic and the rest of our tour group under the iconic clocks at Flinders Street Station - a perfect meeting place for this kind of tour! Nic was warm and welcoming, and she was very keen to show us around and point out buildings, street art, and laneways in the city that I had never seen before. Nic took the time to share fascinating stories of Melbourne and the characters and events that have shaped this beautiful city - I have lived here all my life and there is still so much to discover! I especially enjoyed hearing more than I already knew about the Ned Kelly-Redmond Barry story. I recommend this tour.
As residing melbournian living in and working in the city, this was a fantastic tour to understand the ins and outs and where and whys of the town preside in.. in a busy working life, I hadn’t got to learn and appreciate the laneways, the artwork and architecture of Melbourne and how it all came about and how too that it is evolving! Melbourne is certainly unique and Nic was able to demonstrate that balance of old and new into the tour! Highly recommend!
Highly informative tour. Very knowledgeable host who has great enthusiasm for her city and its attractions. I loved all the alley ways and lanes that we visited and Melbournes architecture is a beautiful mixture of old and new. Our host had many stories to share with us and the pace of the walk was nice and leisurely. I would highly recommend doing this, and any other walks with Nicole.
We had a wonderful day experiencing the hidden laneways of Melbourne along with all the interesting buildings. Even though I visit the city regularly it was great to be encouraged to look up and see all the places I normally walk past. I love street art and it was especially thrilling to see our Banksy. Nic is a wonderful tour guide and a wealth of knowledge about our city’s history.
What better way to explore the city than with a born and bred local?Nicoles local knowledge picks out places and things that you’d otherwise walk straight past. Great tour.
I joined Nicole’s walking tour on a magnificent Sunday morning in February, and it turned out to be one of the best ways to experience Melbourne. The weather was warm and sunny, and the city had that relaxed weekend buzz that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about Melbourne’s history and hidden stories and legends. We wandered through laneways filled with street art, discovered cafés and small local spots I never would’ve found on my own, and learned some fascinating bits of history along the way. The pace was comfortable, with plenty of time for questions and photos. What I loved most was how the tour balanced well-known landmarks with lesser‑known corners of the city—it felt like seeing Melbourne through the eyes of a local. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore the city, whether you’re a visitor or a local looking to appreciate Melbourne in a fresh way!
My simple review, is Nicole greeted my wife and I at the clocks of Flinders Street with a bunch of other people and took us for walk around the city and it was brilliant. However, my more in-depth review is that we started at Flinders Street where she promised to show us a kangaroo, an emu, a unicorn and a lion. We took off and she pointed out things, buildings and art that honestly you would walk past and not give a second look. She had stories and history lessons along the way. We saw some of Melbournes secrets (and some not so secrets) when we wove through some famous laneways including Hozier and AC/DC then walked past Parliament house and Princess theatre before winding around Wesley church and the thinnest laneway in Melbourne. After that it was a quick tour through the State Library to check out Ned Kellys armour before finishing off in Gulford lane and then through the Block arcade. A lot of interesting facts provided and some pretty things to look at in the city you wouldn't normally look at. In all up we walked around for about 3 hours. It was an amazing morning and we thoroughly enjoyed it completely. Would love to do some of Nicole's other tours! The only negative that is say is that our tour was on a Sunday and obviously most places were closed. Nicole said that on other days she stops at a restaurant to get some food/coffee but because everything was closed we didn't have much of an option. So after 3 hours we were starving and hanging out for something. Not her fault at all though but maybe if you're going on a Sunday, have a big breakfast first. Btw, she didn't disappoint, we did definitely see, a kangaroo, an emu, a unicorn and a lion in Melbourne!! But I'll leave the locations up to you to join the walk and find out where...
