Loreto é um dos lugares sagrados mais importantes para os peregrinos católicos na região de Marche. Sua história começa em 10 de dezembro de 1924, quando o Santuário da Santa Casa da Virgem Maria foi transferido de Nazaré para seu local atual; essa crença é apoiada pela pesquisa que recentemente foi realizada sobre os grafites encontrados dentro desta casa. A casa sagrada (Santa Casa) possui uma estrutura muito simples, com três paredes, cada uma atingindo a altura de três metros, composta de arenitos e refinada com uma técnica específica usada na Palestina na época de Jesus. Este site é notável por seus valores religiosos e espirituais, bem como pela importância artística de sua obra de mármore altamente decorada. O papa Júlio II encomendou Donato Bramante para as peças de mármore.

A esplêndida cidade de Loreto, escondida no interior da região de Marche, deve sua fama ao santuário, onde o Santuário da Santa Casa da Virgem Maria é preservado e venerado. É um local sagrado definido pelo Papa João Paulo II como “o verdadeiro coração mariano do cristianismo”. O santuário é um dos locais de peregrinação mais importantes para a fé católica há séculos, sendo visitado por aproximadamente 200 santos e beatificadas, bem como por inúmeros papas. Segundo a tradição antiga, e hoje substanciada por pesquisas arqueológicas e históricas, a Santa Casa é a casa de Nazaré, onde nasceu, educou a Virgem Maria e recebeu a Anunciação. A casa era composta por um cômodo em alvenaria, com três paredes em pedra dispostas de forma a envolver uma caverna de pedra.

Visiting the Holy House of Loreto was a beautiful gift. In inspite of the pourring rainy day. Led by Luis, the driver, Francisco, the co-pilot, we got there in a timely matter. We appreciated that we travel in the van was very comfortable and warm. Once we arrived, were Welcome by Gianluca, our tour guide, was passionate showing it attention to the details having deep understanding about the history of the House of Mary. As well each all the areas that stopped in the way. It is like he wanted to share oll what he knows with us. At any moment fe was not never in a hurry. Always gentle & paciente! Going to Loreto was like a wish come True with us.!

We start our journey from Rome to Loreto at 7am with our guide strut Francesco and our driver Sergey. The outbound trip was a little over 3 hours and back too. Already in Loreto, we were welcomed by Gianluca, who was our guide inside the Basilica. He guided us, showed and explained the legend of how the house of Nazareth where Jesus, Mary and Joseph lived was moved to Loreto. For my wife and I it was an unforgettable experience. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew all of the history. He took us on a trip through time and explained all of the events relating to the Holy House. He explained the creativity behind the aestetics of the Holy House. I would definitely do it again. If you are staying in Loreto this company does tours as well.

To see the walls of the house of the Blessed Virgin Mary is rare opportunity and is a gift. Juliana our tour guide did an excellent job showing us around. I highly recommend that you ask for her when you do this tour.

Good morning. A sanctuary very well frescoed and rich in history located on a hill. We were there during unguided tour hours... too bad .. would have been very interesting .. very pleasant cmq... accessible to all ..
