Ponto de encontro Comece seu passeio a pé particular em Fort Kochi visitando redes de pesca chinesas, que foram introduzidas por comerciantes da corte de Kublai Khan no século 14. Os pescadores de Kochi ainda usam essas redes de pesca para ganhar a vida. Continue seu passeio até a Igreja de São Francisco, a igreja européia mais antiga da Índia. A igreja foi construída em 1503 por frades portugueses e agora é o local de sepultamento de Vasco da Gama, um explorador português que liderou os primeiros navios que navegavam diretamente da Europa para a Índia. A igreja possui um grande cemitério que outrora serviu de campo de descanso para o Vasco da Gamma. Transferência para Mattancherry em Auto Rickshaw / Tuc Tuc / Local Bus. Em seguida, veja a Basílica de Santa Cruz, uma das maiores e mais impressionantes igrejas da Índia. A igreja tem dois pináculos altos e um exterior brilhante e caiado de branco. No interior, você encontrará paredes decoradas com afrescos, murais e grandes pinturas representando cenas da vida de Jesus Cristo. Visite o Palácio Mattancherry, construído pelos portugueses e apresentado à Raja de Kochi em 1555. O palácio é famoso por seus impressionantes murais retratando cenas de contos hindus, como o Ramayana e Mahabharata. Ao lado fica a Sinagoga Paradesi, a sinagoga ativa mais antiga do sul da Índia. Admire o púlpito de latão ornamentado, o lustre de vidro belga e o piso de porcelana chinesa pintada à mão. Termine a jornada passeando pela cidade vizinha de Jew, um local central para o comércio de especiarias, e inspire o aroma de gengibre, cardamomo, açafrão e cravo. Mais tarde, traslado de volta ao seu hotel em Fort Kochi ou Mattancherry por um Auto Rickshaw / Tuc Tuc.

The walking tour with Saad was great. We only had a short time in Kochi and this was a great way to see the area. The whole process was great, from communicating via WhatsApp the night before, accomodating a different time slot and helping with our luggage. Immensely helpful and kind team and the actual tour itself is great. Saad tailored it to our interests, and such a vibe to the place. Could only wish we could stay longer and explore more. Will be back
Rajiv our guide was amazing! We had a great time learning about Fort Kochi and the rich history. He knew so much about architecture and flora and fauna. He joyously shared his city. He was even very patient and flexible when we needed a break from the heat and the tour! Take this tour! It was great! Bring water and hat and wear lots of sunscreen!

<p>The guide was very knowledgeable and the company accommodated us, starting an hour late. Being a person who like history, I enjoyed my time time with the guide. Some explanations at the palace museum were a bit lengthy, but we were able to hit the top things including the church before its closing time :. We had a small side talk about the difference between Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo and Pedro Álvares Cabral. The guide gave us a good local food recommendation at the end.</p>
