Excursão Terrestre em Keelung: Yehliu Geopark, Jiufen, Houton Cat Village Private Tour

Highly recommend this tour - Yehliu Geopark has amazing natural formations with good interpretation. Jiufen and Keelung night markets are vibrant with exciting food options.

Sadly for the price you pay, the quality of the experience we received was very poor. Eddy, our guide, did everything he was supposed to (picked us up and took us to the sights) but due to either limited English, or possibly laziness, didn’t bother to explain where we were going, logistics around drive times or offer up anything unless being promoted by ourselves. Eddy clearly knew the information and knew what we were doing but didn’t make much more than minimal of effort to engage with us. Sadly, we spent a large part of the tour just following him about 3-4 meters behind, trying to keep up as he ticked off where he needed to take us. He was more of a taxi driver than a guide. Sadly, for what we paid, the quality of the guiding was no where near what we had hoped hence the low score. We requested a partial refund due but this was refused. I’d recommend seeing Keelung with a private guide but not with this company.

Eda was a wonderful tour guide! She was knowledgeable about the history of the tour locations, had wonderful recommendations on how to navigate the crowds to find the most enjoyable experiences, and made sure we stayed on schedule while leaving things flexible. I really appreciated the fact she also stopped at some scenic locations along the driving routes rather than just focusing on getting from one location to another. This helped me get the best experience possible! Thank you Eda!!!

The day with Jennifer was a perfect day. She fulfilled all our wishes and adapted the tour accordingly. We were in Keelung as part of a cruise. She picked us up at the port and drove the tour with us. It was just beautiful and Jennifer is a wonderful companion. We can fully recommend these tours. Many thanks to Jennifer who made our day unforgettable.

Our guide was Robert and he showed us beautiful and interesting sites in Keelung. The absolute BEST was Yeliu Geopark. Don't miss this place if you visit. Robert did a nice job guiding us. We communicated before the tour date, he was right on time and I could identify him easily. His car was clean and comfortable. He had waters available for us. He gave us useful and interesting information and our day was full and fun.

Jennifer was a wonderful guide. We met early to avoid the tourist buses and Jennifer was waiting at the port. She drove us first to the Yehliu Geopark and we were among the first visitors of the day. It is a beautiful site. Next we went to the Golden Waterfall and then to Juifen. At Juifen we had tea at a tea house and then with Jennifer’s help we tried a number of local delicacy’s for lunch. Our last stop was Houtong the cat village. We had a great day and Jennifer was a perfect guide. She looked after us and was able to answer all of our questions. We highly recommend this tour.

Highly recommend this tour. Jennifer is a very generous and knowledgeable guide. This tour is well suited for families.

Jennifer was wonderful! She communicated a couple days before the tour, the day before (and was very flexible when we had to adjust times), and the morning of by spending photos of herself, the car and the sign with my name of it. She was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and a safe driver. She pointed out the best food vendors in the night market and even got one to open early and cook for us because we had to get back to the ship. She went above and beyond and was a delight to spend out day with her!

Berry was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. He showed us many beautiful places and kept the schedule very flexible making it a very special and memorable day in Taiwan!!
