Passeio de Kayak à Gruta de Benagil e Praia da Marinha - De Portimão

We had an amazing time! I was an "intermediate-level" kayaker while my travel companion was a newbie. He was nervous at first, but later felt extremely comfortable and had the best time! Besides the kayaking experience through the caves, which was unforgettable in itself, we enjoyed the boat ride there and back, making a few scenic stops along the way. As we were getting back on the boat, time permitting, they will even allow you to do a dive into the ocean if you're feeling up to it! (Note that the GPS meeting point we were looking at was the actual dock where the boats leave from, but the actual meeting point is in a line of blue kiosks right by the beach...you cannot miss it!) We were cruise passengers, and it was a modest walk (around 20 minutes?) but it is very accessible by taxi if necessary. This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, one that I will not forget!

Terrible trip guide was sick , left 30 min late , sailed 30 min across the raging sea to location , there boat moored to a buoy , mucked up from a high boat on the kayaks , was no doing , then with hundreds of other kayaks in a row bobbing on the sea and 2 inlets in, then back to the boat and full throttle back to port , 20 min too early back , so really a mockery , not recommended for anyone is just money knocking.

Davi, our tour guide, was awesome! Would highly recommend the experience. Davi was an excellent teacher and guide with an even better sense of humor. All 6 members of our family greatly enjoyed our adventures on the kayaks!

The kayaking was wonderful. The tour guides Afo so and David were both extremely helpful, friendly and adaptable. They helped a woman who had an injury get out on the boat. The only issues is the boats seemed beat up. It clunked a lot and many were concerned it was unsafe. If someone has a bad back, it’s probably best to avoid this as the choppy waves made the boat crash down hard and jarred the body. BUT, the beauty of the caves, the fun of the kayaks the cool water and David and Alfonso made it a very memorable experience.

We booked the tour one day in advance. When we arrived, it turned out that only 4 people in total were participating that day and the tour was therefore not financially profitable for them. Nevertheless, the tour took place as planned and our tour guides David and "Michael Jackson" (forgot his name) gave us a very beautiful and fun excursion. If you book the tour, please give them a tip for us; unfortunately, they did not accept credit cards :D

An unforgettable experience! Our guide and our captain made an excellent team. Both were friendly, professional, and contributed to making this excursion very enjoyable. They were in good spirits, took the time to share interesting information, and ensured that everyone had a good time. The discovery of the Benagil cave and the surrounding cliffs was simply magnificent. Thank you to the entire team for this beautiful outing that we recommend without hesitation!

We took our teenager kids with us for this and they loved it. Our guide was multilingual and did a great job keeping it fun and interesting.

The boat ride to the caves is very bumpy, so if you have back issues, consider yourself forewarned. Getting into and out of the kayaks was tricky from the rocking boat, but the crew provided lots of help to those that struggled. Overall, we loved the tour. The scenery was beautiful. It was fun getting to kayak into the caves. We also enjoyed the boat trips into and out of some of the more remote caves. Shout out to Davide & Alfonso, who were great guides. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They took and shared great photos, which was a bonus.
