It was fun! A little confusing a couple times picking the trail after a stop but mostly it picked up the turns right where needed. We all learned a lot & enjoyed the stops. It could’ve been an all day adventure: we just had an afternoon & opted for the ride on the Strasburg railroad which we really liked! Can’t beat it for $15!!
Done very well. Got lost along the way but found our way back.
A very fun experience driving through the farmland of Lancaster. Would definitely do another driving tour in the future.
This is absolutely perfect for a fun adventure day!! I went with my sister (18 years old), my two sons (14 and 16), and my two daughters (2 and 1). Love that you can do it at your own pace and stop where you want to or continue on. The amount of storytelling was absolutely perfect! It was interesting enough to keep everyone engaged, (except the baby, but she just slept for most of it….. lol) which is difficult with teenagers, and it wasn’t drawn out or boring/too much at any point! We actually felt like we were connected to the guide as well, which I didn’t think would be possible. I’ve already been recommending it to everyone. In my opinion it’s a great way to experience and learn about a place without pressure. I’ve lived in Lancaster county for a while so I expected to just hear a lot of things I already knew, but I learned a bunch of fun facts and experienced places I never would have known about. So it doesn’t even matter if it’s a place you think you know. The beginning and ending points were amazing spots that we had so much fun exploring, along with several on the trip and we didn’t even stop at them all. The price point is far cheaper than any other excursion, especially with a large family, and well worth every penny! It’s not possible to find anything cheaper that will fill your day with fun, especially for a larger group. The only issue we had was when I had to venture off for a gas station because I didn’t prepare ahead of time and even then, it was pretty easy to get back on track. Definitely recommend gassing up before you start tho to avoid any panic searching for gas stations.
Very interesting tour and the GPS worked well. Great way to view the countryside and attractions along the way.
Excellent tour. Exactly what we were looking for. The narrator’s speed matched the country side and speed limit.
Thank you for the great review and using the WalknTours app! I grew up in the area, and love sharing the stories! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Look for our tours in 270 plus destinations when you gravel, like Gettysburg! Greg @ WalknTours
Great experience. The gps at times warned us that we were on the wrong route. However, we were still on track. The history and the story was s great experience.
Don't know if it was my lack of tech expertise, confusing instructions or a sketchy internet connection, but I was never able to access the tour. It didn't help that I was instructed to download the "WalknTours" app - there are 2 apps with the same name. I apparently opened the wrong one and couldn't figure out how to undo what I did. I also wasn't able to get back to the page with the contact telephone number.
It took a bit of effort to get the guide to start but once it did the experience was wonderful. We shared our experience with the owner of the place we were staying, and she then shared it with other guests at the lodging. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Lancaster Cty. I would bet that regardless of how often you have been to Lancaster, you don't know all the stuff Greg tells you on the tour.
Tour was well planned out and easy to follow. Great that if the speaker gets ahead of you, you can arrow back to the spot to pick it up again.
