This was a great tour that wasn’t too crowded and spent ample time driving around some really beautiful areas. The guide, Luann, was very knowledgeable, and the stop at Riehl’s farm for shopping was just the right length. I also enjoyed seeing the replica schoolroom and farmstead.

Loved our driver! She was incredibly informative and well-versed on the Amish community. Our guide for the house, however, contradicted many of the things that our driver had educated us about which was very confusing and disappointing. I found he seemed confused by some of the questions I was asking which was odd because they seemed very typical questions about fundamentalist groups (like mixed fabrics, facial hair laws, Trinitarian views etc). I have done this tour before and took my family who was in town visiting, this was pretty disappointing because it felt like the end of the tour (the homestead/house tour) contradicted the entirety of the first half, and unecessarily.

Well worth the money. Guide (Devine) was very knowledgable and very personable. We learned a lot about the Amish culture in today’s world. It has changed …cell phones, rechargeable batteries, solar power, gas/battery powered appliances, etc. WOW…. Have already recommended to friends.

What an interesting experience! Devine, our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. He was interesting and could answer a wide range of questions and add little side tidbits as he went. It was well worth the time and cost.

John was our tour guide and he drove us in the bus all around the area. It was very educational and he knew everything that was needed to know regarding the Amish way of life. He drove by a lot of areas and we got to see a lot. The movie was fantastic. They gave us an idea of what it was like growing up and making the hard decision whether to join the Amish culture or the English culture. The tour of the school house and the Fisher house was really really good. It’s neat that they have actual Amish families come and look at the set up to make sure it’s as accurate as possible. Hopefully sometime down the road, I will be able to come and spend more time in the area because there are so many things to do that we did not get a chance to finish.

I have done tours like this before through other providers and I believe this was the best one yet. The bus tour was so educational and the driver had a good sense of humor. The film was also good. I am glad I decided on the full package.

The experience was both enjoyable and very informative. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about the Amish people and culture.

(SuperSaver Package) My friend and I did the farm tour in the morning. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and shared information about the Amish, pointing out notable things about their homes and lifestyle along the way. We enjoyed shopping at our one farm stop, with a wonderful selection of goods, crafts, and snacks at reasonable prices. Back at the center, the film "Jacob's Choice" effectively conveyed the difficulty of the decision each Amish makes to carry on the heritage of the Amish tradition. Next, we toured the house and school replicas right on the premises. All excellent! We had a break in the afternoon, but returned for an interactive tour of 3 farms/families in the evening. It was wonderful to meet these welcoming people, see them demonstrate some of their skills (goat milking and iron crafting on this particular day), and ask questions about their lifestyle and family. The Amish were warm and approachable. Amish Experience made everything easy and comfortable from the ticket purchases to every aspect of touring. The location is great, with ample parking, lots of clean restrooms, friendly staff, and a wonderful gift shop right on the premises. I highly recommend these tours!

We really enjoyed the whole experience and learned so much. Kathy as our driver, our film and homestead Interpreter was amazing : Friendly; polite ; full of information as a neighbor of Amish friends who interacted with them often; and eager to answer our questions . Driving miles and miles past beautiful productive Amish farms was such a delight.
