Beautiful establishment my Fiance and I had a wonderful time. We enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was conducive to adult and family fun!
Got the wrong dates for the zoo but since I did not make it that day I was able to scan my ticket the next day at the gate with no issues. Parking was free for the zoo
Too many expensive extra charges. Not viewing of animals . If creatures were visible you had to pay extra. How does that help educate people. Plus paid for a beer that when foam settled only half cup. Rip off
This was a amazing place. We did the green pass , feed the flamingos, kangaroos and giraffes. We also did the Rhino experience. I can’t explain what it’s like to touch a Rhino , amazing. The zoo was well maintained, animals looked cared for and healthy. The Congo exhibit WOW. I’ve never seen silver back gorillas before. They were eating, running around. My grandkids loved it. Feeding these animals was a great experience for kids . I’ve never seen or touched a kangaroo before either. They were very friendly. We loved the butterfly enclosure as well. My grandsons favorite was the train. I highly recommended visiting while in town. If we come to San Antonio again , this is must.
IT's a smaller zoo so only takes about 3 hours if you take your time. Maybe 4 with children. well that''s all I have to say so thank you.
We had great time at the Zoo. The kids love it.
As a San Antonio native, I have enjoyed trips to the San Antonio Zoo since the 1950’s: greeted by the flamingos and loving the train rides with each visit. Fortunately. the San Antonio Zoo continues to evolve and develop. We’re now taking grandkids to enjoy the flamingos and train, and CELEBRATING the return of the Gorillas in the fantastic Congo Falls area! Throughout the Zoo, new entrance features provide an inviting San Antonio flair—reflected in new exhibits, more annual membership options, and special opportunities to “talk to the animals.” An added perk—as SA Zoo Members, we receive admission discounts for zoos in other cities. We’re now zoo enthusiasts—having visited the Nashville and Miami zoos most recently. …San Antonio Zoo is still a favorite!
We had a great time, especially in the newer areas. We loved the way that the zoo pathways were set up so that you didn’t miss anything. However, several areas were not available or under construction, and no concessions were open early for snacks, drinks, etc. The older areas were a bit tired and not as pristine or clean as they could have been, and we couldn’t find animals in many of the exhibits. Because of that we thought it was a bit pricey for the experience. We could see that the zoo is working hard to step up it’s game, and we hope that it returns to the jewel that it once was.
Got the family package that included admission and food for 4. Was happy with the price. Some food was expensive but not as expensive compared to other zoos.
Very nice zoo. My favorite was the hippo exhibit.
